Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024 Vacancy Details

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has announced 6000 openings for Constable positions in the Haryana Police Department. A total of 6000 positions have been announced, with 5000 for male constables and 1000 for female constables. The table below lists vacancy details per category.

Eligibility Criteria for Haryana Constable (GD) Recruitment 2024

Candidates applying for Haryana Police Constable must meet the eligibility standards established by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission. We have provided entire information about the Haryana Police Constable qualifying criteria, including educational qualifications and age limits.

Nationality:

According to the Haryana Police Department, only Indian residents are eligible to apply for the position of Haryana Police Constable. Candidates from other states are also eligible to apply; however, they must be in a Haryana domicile to avail themselves of the reservation benefit.

Note: Reserved category candidates from other states will be permitted to compete for positions meant for the general category and will be treated as such.

Age Limit (as on 01-02-2024):

The minimum age limit for Haryana Police Constable is 18 years, while the maximum age is 25 years. The Haryana Police Department has granted several relaxations in the Haryana Police Constable Age Limit to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories, i.e., Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and Economically Weakened Areas (EWS). As per government guidance, the relaxation in the maximum age limit is given in the table below.

Note: According to the Cabinet Notice, Dated January 22, 2024, three-year relaxation of the required upper age limitations for applicants of all categories as a one-time measure.

Educational Qualification

According to the Haryana Police Constable Eligibility, aspirants must meet the below-mentioned educational standards.

• The candidate must have completed 10+2 from a recognised educational board/institution.
• Must have Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matric.
• No additional weight will be given by the commission to the candidate for higher education.

The Haryana Police Constable application link can be accessed from the official HSSC website, @hssc.gov.in only. The commission will not accept applications sent through any other mode in any circumstances. Before completing the application form, candidates must first register.

Step 1: First, visit the official website of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission from the link provided above.

Step 2: Navigate to the "Online Application For Recruitment To Posts Of Police Department" link located on the home page and click it.

Step 3: A new registration form will appear on your screen. Select the "New Registration" option.

Step 4: Enter your mobile number, email address, date of birth (DOB), category, and name.

Step 5: After submitting, you will be given a registration number. Additionally, the entered email address and mobile number will receive a confirmation message.

Step 6: After that, upload the necessary files in the appropriate format.

Step 7: Lastly, carefully check all the information you provided and click on the submit button.

Haryana Constable Selection Process 2024

The Haryana Police Constable Selection Process has been altered. Candidates applying for the Haryana Police Constable Exam will now be shortlisted based on their CET scores. The shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a Physical Measurement Test, followed by a Physical Screening Test, both of which will be qualifying in nature. Ultimately, the shortlisted qualified candidates in each category will take the Knowledge Test.

 A final selection list will be prepared for the candidates who have qualified for all rounds. Brief information on all the stages of the selection process is provided below:

• PMT/PST: The Board first conducts the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) to measure candidates' physical measurements, which must meet the board's criteria. The board will measure the candidates' chests, heights, and so on, and if any candidate fails to meet the standard, he or she will not be able to proceed in the selection process.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of PMT will undergo the PST (Physical Screening Test)  to judge their physical fitness and endurance. The standards prescribed for this test are:-

• Knowledge Test: Candidates who pass the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST) will be eligible to take the Knowledge Test. At this stage, all candidates must take a knowledge test with a weightage of ninety-four point five percent (94.5%), which will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions. The medium of examination shall be bilingual, i.e., Hindi/English, unless the candidates' knowledge of the Hindi/English language is being tested.  
  • Additional Weightage: The additional weightage (maximum 03 + 2.5 = 5.5 marks) will be awarded as follows:-

(a) NCC certificate: Candidates with A, B, or C level NCC certificates will receive 01, 02, and 03 marks, accordingly (for Constables).

(b) Socioeconomic factors: Eligible applicants may be given a maximum weightage of two and a half (2.5) percent for socioeconomic factors under the Common Eligibility Test Policy.

• Document Verification and Medical Examination: Candidates who have qualified in all rounds must provide the documents they submitted when applying to prove their eligibility for the DV round. The board will conduct a document verification round during the verification process, and candidates must bring their original documents.

Haryana Constable Exam Pattern 2024

The test paper will comprise MCQ questions from different subjects, and all questions will be compulsory. At least 10% of the questions will be on fundamental computer skills, and at least 20% will be about Haryana. The standard of questions shall be that of an educated individual who has passed the 10+2 test for the position of Constable.

• The examination medium will be bilingual, which means it will be administered in both Hindi and English.
• The mode of the examination will be offline (OMR-based) written examination.
• There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Note: The standard of questions shall be as expected of an educated person having passed the 10+2 examination.

Haryana Constable Admit Card 2024

HSSC Admit Card for the Police Constable exam will be available separately for the Physical Test and Knowledge Test. The HSSC Police Constable Admit Card will be released on the commission's website 7 to 10 days before the exam date. The Admit Card is a critical document that grants candidates access to the exam hall and contains important information such as the candidate's name, roll number, exam centre, and exam time.

The Haryana Police Constable Answer Key 2024 will be released by the HSSC when the exam is completed. It will be made available on the HSSC's official website. Candidates can raise objections during the stipulated period and pay the prescribed charge. Haryana Constable Salary Structure 2024
