Candidates should check the eligibility criteria for the Haryana Civil Services Examination 2023 before applying for the same. Eligibility criteria typically consist of three major factors which include nationality/citizenship, age limit/ relaxation and educational qualification. Here we are providing details on these factors through which you will be able to check the eligibility for HCS 2023:-
To be eligible for the HCS examination, a candidate must meet one of the following criteria:
(a) Be an Indian citizen.
(b) Be a citizen of Nepal.
(c) Be a citizen of Bhutan.
(d) Be a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962, with the intention of staying in India permanently.
(e) Be a person of Indian origin who has moved to India with the intention of making it their permanent home, and originally hailed from countries such as Pakistan, Burma, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Zaire, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia or Vietnam.
Candidates' age should be between 18 and 42 years old by 1 January 2023 except for the post of DSP. But, if you want to be a DSP, you should be between 18 and 27 years old by 1 January 2023. Relaxation in age is also permissible for special categories.
