BPSC TRE 4 Application Process is conducted online through the official portal onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in. The application portal opens on 1 September 2026. 

Candidates will be required to complete the application process by following the steps given below:

Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR): Visit the BPSC portal and complete your OTR profile using a valid mobile number and email ID (verified via OTP).

Step 2: Profile & Document Linking: Log in with your OTR details. Complete your personal details, category credentials, educational qualifications, and eligibility proofs (CTET / STET / B.Ed / D.El.Ed).

Step 3: Live Photo Capture & Signature Upload: Capture a clear live photograph using a webcam with a plain/light background, and upload separate scanned signatures in Hindi and English (.jpg format, up to 15–20 KB).

Step 4: Application Fee Payment: Pay the application fee online via net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI by 29 September 2026.

The BPSC TRE 4.0 selection process has been revised by the Commission and will now be conducted in two stages: Preliminary Examination and Mains Written Examination, followed by Document Verification (DV) for candidates shortlisted for final appointment.

1. Preliminary Examination: The BPSC TRE Preliminary Examination will be conducted as a screening test. It will consist of 150 objective-type questions carrying 150 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. The paper will assess candidates through General Studies and Mental Ability.

2. Mains Written Examination: Candidates qualifying the Preliminary Examination will appear for the BPSC TRE Mains Written Examination. The Mains will consist of 150 objective-type questions for 150 marks, with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. It will include the Language Qualifying Part-I, General Studies Part-II, and Subject-Specific Part-III, as applicable to the post.

3. Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted after the written examination stages will be called for Document Verification. They will have to produce original documents supporting their educational qualifications, eligibility, category and other details mentioned in the application form.

Bihar Teacher Recruitment 4.0: New Exam Pattern 2026

The BPSC TRE 4.0 exam pattern has been revised by the Commission, with the recruitment process now comprising a Preliminary Examination followed by a Mains Written Examination. Both stages will consist of objective-type questions, with the Preliminary Examination serving as a screening test and the Mains Examination covering the Language Qualifying Part-I, General Studies Part-II, and Subject-Specific Part-III.

• The recruitment process will be conducted in two written stages: Preliminary and Mains.
• The Preliminary Examination will consist of 150 questions for 150 marks and will be held for 2 hours.
• The Mains Examination will consist of 150 questions for 150 marks and will have a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes.
• One-third negative marking will apply for every incorrect answer.
• Each question will have five options (A, B, C, D and E).
• Candidates who do not wish to answer a question must mark Option E. Leaving all five options unmarked will attract one-third negative marking.
