REET Notification 2024 was issued on 12 December 2024 by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER). Earlier, on 11 December 2024, the Board had also issued a short notice for the REET. The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) Date has been announced by the Board through REET Notification. Those who are preparing for the REET 2024 can check REET Notification 2024 through the official website of the RSMSSB. 

It presents a valuable opportunity for candidates who have completed a B.Ed. or D.Ed. The REET Application Process was started on 16 December 2024 and candidates can submit their application forms till 15 January 2025. Candidates must go through a written selection process to qualify, which includes a written test for both Level I and Level II. To be eligible to teach at both the primary and secondary levels, candidates need to clear both papers. Applicants have the flexibility to apply for either level or both, depending on their interests and eligibility.

REET Exam 2024

The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) is a state-level exam conducted annually by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER). It is a mandatory qualification for candidates aspiring to teach in primary (classes 1 to 5) and upper primary (classes 6 to 8) schools in the state. REET is divided into two levels—Level 1 for primary teachers and Level 2 for upper primary teachers. Upon qualifying for the REET, candidates must pass an additional examination, as per the latest scheme released by the board, to become eligible for teaching positions in Rajasthan's government schools.

REET 2024 Vacancy

The official REET Notification 2024 is out now and the details regarding vacancies have not yet been released by the Board. In the previous REET Notification issued in December 2022, the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board announced a total of 48,000 vacancies for primary and upper-primary teachers. This included 21,000 positions for Level 1 (primary) teachers and 27,000 positions for Level 2 (upper primary) teachers. Once the REET 2024 vacancies are announced, this section will be updated accordingly.

REET Eligibility Criteria 2024 

REET Eligibility Criteria should be checked carefully by the candidates before they submit their application form. REET Notification 2024 will contain the eligibility criteria details. In this section, we are providing the required eligibility details below for your reference:-

Nationality

As per the eligibility rules set out by the board, an applicant must be: 

  1. An Indian citizen,  or
  2. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
  3. A Tibetan refugee (migrated to India before 1 January 1962),   or
  4. A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or east African countries to reside permanently in India. 

Before applying, candidates must ensure they conform to the nationality conditions as detailed in the official notification.  

Age Limit 

The previous year’s REET Notification for level 1 and level 2 exams laid out the following minimum and maximum age criteria to appear in the exams. 

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 40 years

Note: The Board allows relaxation in the upper age limit to certain categories of candidates. The details of the same shall be available upon the release of the official notification. 

Educational Qualification

As per the previous exam cycle, the RSMSSB notification included the following educational qualifications for the different levels of the exam. 

  1. To appear in the REET 2023 exam for Level 1 (primary school teachers for classes 1 to 5), candidates should at least have one of the following educational qualifications: 
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education,    Or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education,         Or
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed,   Or
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), Or
  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  1. For REET Level 2 (upper primary teachers for classes 6 to 8), the candidate must possess one of the following qualifications: 
  • Graduation + 2-year diploma in Elementary Education 
  • Graduation or Post-graduation (with minimum 50% marks) + B.Ed. 
  • Graduation (with at least 45% marks) + 1 year B.Ed. 
  • Senior secondary education (with minimum 50% marks) + 4 year B.El.Ed
  • Senior secondary education (with minimum 50% marks) + 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed
  • Graduation (with minimum 50% marks) + 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education) 
  • PG (with at least 55% marks) + 3 year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. 

Besides the above basic educational qualifications, the Board specifies certain subject-specific education requirements for REET level 2. Candidates must refer to the official notification for complete details. 

REET Application Process 2024

The REET 2024 application link is activated now after the official REET Notification is released. Candidates will be able to submit the online application form within the specified dates once the application link is activated. If you're planning to apply for the REET 2024 exam, follow these steps to complete the application process:

  1. Visit the official Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER) website.
  2. On the homepage, find and click on the link for the REET 2024 Application Form.
  3. Enter the required login details to register for the REET 2024 Exam.
  4. After submitting, your details will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address.
  5. Log in using the provided details and complete the form by entering your educational and personal information, along with uploading your photograph and scanned signature.
  6. Review the application form carefully and proceed to make the payment.
  7. Download a copy of your REET 2024 Application Form to your device.
  8. Take a printout of the REET 2024 Application Form for future reference.

Application Fees 

Candidates must pay the application fee to complete the REET Application Form. The REET 2024 application fee is anticipated to remain the same as the previous year. The registration fee can be paid online via challan, debit card, net banking, or through e-Mitra. The expected exam fees for different levels are as follows (in Rs):

REET 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for REET 2024 will likely follow a written examination stage, similar to previous years, though the REET Notification is still awaited. Candidates must clear the written exam to qualify for final selection. The REET 2024 exam, conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Education, will assess candidates' eligibility to teach primary (classes 1 to 5) and upper primary (classes 6 to 8) students. 

Candidates who meet the minimum qualifying marks set by the exam authorities will receive a REET certification, making them eligible for personal interviews for teaching positions in government and government-aided schools in Rajasthan. 

REET Exam Pattern 2024

REET Exam Pattern 2024 has been detailed through the REET Notification 2024. The exam consists of two levels: Level 1 for primary teachers and Level 2 for upper primary teachers. Those who want to appear in the REET 2024 should check the REET Exam Pattern carefully. Below we are providing REET Exam Pattern 2024 for your reference:-

  1. The Level 1 examination is for candidates aiming to teach classes 1 to 5, while the Level 2 examination is for those aspiring to teach classes 6 to 8.
  2. The REET question paper will consist of 150 questions, carrying a total of 150 marks. 
  3. The exam lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes. 
  4. Candidates need to score at least 60% to qualify. 
  5. No negative marking is applied in the REET eligibility test.
  6. The exam will be conducted offline, with separate papers for primary and upper-primary teachers.

REET 2024 Admit Card

The Board will issue the REET Admit Card 2024 on the official website a few days before the exam. Candidates must check that all details mentioned on their admit card are correct. It is necessary to carry the admit card to the REET exam centre, as it validates the applicant’s candidature for the exam. The process to download the admit card has been provided below: 

Step 1: Go to the official reetbser website for 2024 (the link shall be updated here when released by the board). 

Step 2: Click on the “Download Admit Card” link. 

Step 3: Submit the required login details (registration number and date of birth).

Step 4: Your admit card will show up on the screen.

Step 5: Download it and take a printout of the same to carry to the exam hall. 

REET Answer Key 2024

Soon after the conclusion of the exam, the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) shall release the REET Answer Key. Candidates can download the same from the official website to assess their performance in the exam and calculate their estimated score. It is important to note that the answer key will have provisional solutions and there may be an opportunity to challenge the same if found incorrect.

REET Result 2024 

REET Result will be declared by the RSMSSB after the REET 2024 is conducted successfully. Candidates can check their results in the following manner: 

  • On the official RSMSSB website, click on the “Latest News” section on the bottom right. 
  • For Level 1 results, find the link to “Primary School Teacher (L-1) 2024: Final Recommendation of Selected Candidates” in the listed items. 
  • For Level 2 results, look for the “Upper Primary School Teacher (L-2) 2024” link for your subject.
  • A PDF notification containing the roll numbers of selected candidates shall be displayed on the screen. Candidates need to go through the list to see if their roll number has been included in this list. 
  • Download and save a copy of the PDF document for future reference. 

REET 2024 Exam Cut-off 

The REET Cut-off Marks 2024 will be uploaded on the official website after the exam is conducted. Candidates who appear for the REET exam can calculate their scores once the answer key is released. To check their marks, candidates should understand the marking scheme for the REET examination, which includes the following points:

  • Each correct answer is awarded one mark.
  • No marks will be deducted for incorrect answers, as there is no negative marking.
  • Unattempted questions will also receive zero marks.

To check the REET cut-off, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website and click on REET in the left sidebar.
  2. Locate the direct link to download the REET Cut-Off.
  3. Download the PDF and scroll down to view the category-wise cut-off marks.
  4. Candidates can also find the date of birth of the last candidate who met the REET cut-off marks.

REET 2024 Salary

The initial salary for candidates selected on the basis of the eligibility test is Rs. 23,700 (without any allowances) during the probation period. After successful completion of the two-year probation period, the candidates shall be paid a salary in accordance with the pay scale associated with the post. The salary for Rajasthan school teachers is payable as per the 7th pay commission (level 10).
