Noted wildlife conservationist and Photographer Aditya ‘Dicky’Singh dead

Noted wildlife conservationist and photographer Aditya 'Dicky' Singh passed away at his home on the outskirts of Ranthambore tiger reserve in Rajasthan on 6 September 2023. He was 57 years old .

Aditya Singh was a former IAS officer who resigned from the service and settled in Ranthambore to pursue his passion for wildlife conservation and photography .

Aditya Singh  worked on wildlife documentaries and conservation initiatives . He also co- authored a book with Andy Rouse "Noor: Queen of Ranthambore", covering different aspects of tigress Noor's life through a collection of photographs and stories.

Tiger Reserves in Rajasthan

At present there are  five tiger reserves in Rajasthan . 

• Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur;
• Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar
• Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve in Kota,
• Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve in Bundi,
• Dholpur-Karauli Reserve . It is the 53rd Tiger reserve of the country 

The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has given  in-principle approval to declare Kumbhalgarh as a tiger reserve in Rajasthan. When it is officially notified it will be the 6th tiger reserve of Rajasthan .
