Serbian Tennis legend Novak Djokovic became the fifth tennis player in history to claim the
Golden Slam. He won the elusive Olympic gold medal at the 33rd Summer olympics in Paris, France, to complement his Grand Slam singles titles at the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.
He joined the list of Rafael Nadal of France, Serena Williams and Andre Agassi of the United States, and Steffi Graff of Germany, winning the singles title of the four Grand Slam and an Olympic Gold Medal.
Novak Djokovic won the men’s singles gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics by defeating Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets, 7-6(3), 7-6(2), in the final on 4 August 2024.
Displaying mental fortitude and vast experience, Djokovic defeated Carlos Alcaraz, the 2024 French Open and Wimbledon winner. Djokovic was recently defeated by Carlos Alcaraz in the 2024 Wimbledon final.
In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Djokovic won a bronze in the men’s singles. He failed to win a medal in the 2012 London Olympics, 2016 Rio de Janeiro and again in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
