Urban Mobility India 2025: Awards Announced in 8 Categories

In the three-day Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Exhibition 2025 held in Gurugram, Haryana, 8 category awards were presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Power.

Along with this, the logo and website of the Prime Minister E-Bus Seva Yojana were also launched.

He also announced that the 19th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Exhibition 2026 will be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from 23 to 25 October 2026.

The three-day conference concluded with the distribution of awards in various categories of urban transport. These awards are given to the States/Urban Authorities for “Excellence/Best Practice Projects in Urban Transport.”

Winners were presented awards in the following 8 categories, recommended by the Award Selection Committee chaired by senior government officials and experts in the field.

7. Commendation - Kochi Metro Rail Limited

8. Metro Rail with the Best Multimodal Integration - Chennai Metro Rail Limited

9. Metro Rail with the Best Passenger Services and Satisfaction - Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited

18th Urban Mobility India

The 18th edition of the Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Exhibition 2025 was inaugurated on 7 November 2025 in Gurugram, Haryana by Hon’ble Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Power Shri Manohar Lal.

This three-day event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, and the Government of Haryana through the Institute of Urban Transport (India) and Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL).

The 2025 edition focuses on the theme ‘Urban Development and Mobility Linkages,’ highlighting the interconnections between urban planning and mobility systems and their collective impact on economic growth, environmental sustainability, social equity, and public health.
