Recently, the annual award in the children’s literature category of the Sahitya Akademi – the Bal Sahitya Award 2025 – has been announced. The ceremony for these awards will be held in New Delhi.
Recently, the annual award in the children’s literature category of the Sahitya Akademi – the Bal Sahitya Award 2025 – has been announced. The Bal Sahitya Award 2025 will be held on November 14, 2025, at Triveni Auditorium, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.
These awards will be presented by the President of the Akademi, Madhav Kaushik. Renowned Gujarati writer Varsha Das will grace the occasion as the chief guest, and the vote of thanks will be delivered by the Vice President of the Akademi, Kumud Sharma. The welcome address will be given by Pallavi Prashant Holkar, Secretary of the Sahitya Akademi.
The Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Award, established in 2010, recognizes contributions to Indian languages. The award winners will receive a cheque of ₹50,000 and a bronze plaque in recognition of their works.
Hindi - Ek Bate Barah (Non-Fiction and Memoir), Sushil Shukla.
English - Dakshin: South Indian Myths and Legends (Stories).
Rajasthani - Pankheruv Ni Peeda (Drama).
