Lifetime Achievement Award to great sprinter PT Usha By SJFI & DSJA

PT Usha was honored with the Life Time Achievement Award by the Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI) and Delhi Sports Journalists Association (DSJA) on 4 February 2024.

PT Usha has been a great Indian sprinter in the past. PT Usha is currently the President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).

Many were honored with this award in the past also:

PT Usha has been given this award after Vijay Amritraj, Prakash Padukone, Sunil Gavaskar and Milkha Singh (posthumously).
A program was organized at the National Sports Club of India to honor PT Usha. In this, Rajya Sabha MP and BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla honored PT Usha for her brilliant sports career by giving her a citation and a memento.

PT Usha's sports career:

PT Usha won 103 international medals for India in her career between 1977 and 2000.
PT Usha also won four gold medals and seven silver medals in the Asian Games. In the 1984 Olympics, she missed the bronze medal by 100th of a second. The Olympic Games were held in Los Angeles, California, United States in 1984.

Question of appointment of CEO of IOA:

IOA President PT Usha said on 4 February 2024 that she has full confidence in the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will not back down from the decision to appoint him to the top post. Usha said that when you do wrong things, you have to be afraid. When you are doing the right and proper thing , there should be no worry about this.
