Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the financial proposal for development works in ancient buildings of Khetri located in Jaipur and Jhunjhunu. With the approval of Mr. Gehlot, renovation works will be done at Khetri House in Jaipur and Moti Mahal and Amarhall (Khetri) in Jhunjhunu. It will cost Rs 2.05 crore. This amount has been approved from the Tourism Development Fund, which was announced by the Chief Minister in the budget year 2023-24.

The state government is working for the promotion of tourism and conservation of ancient heritage.

Khetri House Jaipur

  • Khetri House which is a three star heritage hotel located in Chandpole, Jaipur. Rajarai Bahadur Sardar Singh was the 11th ruler of Khetri. 

  • As he had no children, the government took possession of the property under the Rajasthan Escheats Regulation Act-1956.

Moti Mahal and Amarhall (Khetri) of Jhunjhunu

  • Moti Mahal and Amarhall (Khetri) of Jhunjhunu are part of Khetri Mahal of Jhunjhunu.

  • Jhunjhunu's Khetri Mahal is also known as Wind Palace and is located in Jhunjhunu City, District Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan.

  • Located behind a series of lanes is Khetri Mahal, one of the finest examples of Shekhawati art and architecture. Though desolate and though somewhat neglected the beauty and symmetry of the elegant arches can still be appreciated. Built in 1770 it is believed that Bhopal Singh the founder of Khetri founded it.
