The Marwar International Center in Jodhpur was inaugurated by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He emphasized the government's ongoing efforts to safeguard the cultural heritage of every region in the state and promote intellectual exchange.
NOTE: MICE is an acronym for Meeting, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions. MICE is quickly growing in Rajasthan, providing countless opportunities in the tourism sector. In the recently announced 2023-24 Budget by Gehlot, there are plans to establish MICE centers for organizing international-level conventions and exhibitions in popular tourist destinations like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Ajmer.
The Marwar International Centre is set to become a hub for cultural and ideological exchange. By preserving and promoting art, culture, and traditions, the center will put Jodhpur on the map both nationally and internationally. The auditorium, occupying 65000 square meters of land, can seat up to 1350 people and boasts two dormitories for artists, two green rooms, two banquet lawns, and an exhibition center spanning 5820 square meters.
Gehlot also highlighted the opening of several prestigious institutions in Jodhpur. In the past 4 years, 4 universities have been established here, including MBM University, Rajiv Gandhi Fintech University, and most recently, the foundation stone was laid for Mahatma Gandhi Divyang University and Marwar Medical University.
