ICC Releases Schedule for 10th Women's T 20 World Cup 2026 Tournament

The International Cricket Council (ICC), the world's cricket governing body, has released the schedule for the 10th ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in England from 12 June to 5 July 2026.
This will be the biggest World Cup with 12 teams fighting to get their hands on the coveted Trophy.
The New Zealand women's cricket team, popularly known as the White Ferns, is the defending champion. They won the 9th Women's T20 World Cup 2024, beating South Africa in the final to win their first-ever T20 World Cup.
Bangladesh was to host the 9th T20 World Cup, but due to political turmoil, the matches were shifted to the United Arab Emirates.
The inaugural match of the 10th World Cup will be between the host England and Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on 12 June 2026..
India will face Pakistan on 14 June at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
Twelve teams will participate in the 10th ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, and they have been put in two groups.
Group I - Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa and two teams from the Global Qualifiers.
Group II- England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies and two teams from the Global Qualifiers.
The teams will play in a round-robin format at the Group stages, and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-final.
Venues
Seven venues: Headingley, Edgbaston, Old Trafford, The Oval, Bristol County Ground, and Lord’s.
Semi-finals- The Oval Cricket Stadium.
Final -Lords Cricket Stadium, London.
The International Cricket Conference (ICC) organised the first Women’s T20 World Cup in 2009, two years after the inaugural Men’s T20 World Cup in 2007.
After the second edition, which was held in 2010, the ICC organises the Women’s T20 Cup every two years.
Initially, only eight teams participated in the World Cup, but since the 4th edition in 2014, the number of teams has increased to 10.
Twelve teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup.
Australia has won the title six times, while England, New Zealand, and the West Indies have each won one.
