ICC Awards 2023: Awards to the Best Performers in Cricket Sport 5 min read

The awards for the year 2023 were announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on January 24, 2024. In this way, players from different countries who have performed best in different formats of cricket have been rewarded.

All the awards and winners of the ICC Awards 2023 can be seen as follows:

  • Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year:

    • Nat Sciver-Brunt
    • England all-rounder Nate Sciver-Brunt received the award for the second consecutive year.
  • ICC Women's ODI Cricket of the Year 2023: 

    • Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka)
    • Athapaththu was rewarded for his exceptional year with the bat in ODIs.
  • ICC Men's Associate Cricketer of the Year 2023:

    • Bas de Leede (Netherlands)
    • Bas De Leede was named the ICC Men's Associate Cricketer of the Year 2023 for his all-round performances in the year.
  • ICC Women's Associate Cricketer of the Year 2023:

    • Queentor Abel (Kenya)
  • ICC Men's T20 Cricketer of the Year 2023:

    • Suryakumar Yadav (India)
    • For the second consecutive year, India's T20 player Suryakumar Yadav has been honoured with the ICC Men's T20 Cricketer of the Year award.
  • ICC Women's T20 Cricketer of the Year 2023: 

    • Matthews (West Indies)
    • Matthews became the second West Indies player to win this honour. Former captain Stafanie Taylor was the first cricketer to win the award in 2015.
  • ICC Men's Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2023:

    • Rachin Ravindra (New Zealand)
    • Ravindra left behind South African fast bowler Gerald Coetzee, Sri Lankan fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka and Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal for this award.
  • ICC Women's Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2023:

    • Litchfield (Australia)
    • For this, Litchfield left behind Marufa Ector of Bangladesh, Lauren Bell of England and Darcy Carter of Scotland.
  • David Shepherd Trophy for ICC Umpire of the Year:

    • Richard Illingworth (England)
    • Former England player Richard Illingworth received the David Shepherd Trophy for ICC Umpire of the Year for the third time.
    • He had previously won this award in 2019 and 2022.
    • He is the second Englishman after Richard Kettleborough to win this honour.
