AIIMS Delhi ranked best hospital in India by Newsweek and Statista

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has been named the best hospital in India and ranked 97th in the world in the World’s Best Hospitals 2024 report.
The World's Best Hospitals 2024 report was released by the American Media company Newsweek in partnership with global data platform Statista.
The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, United States, with a score of 97.51%, was named the Best hospital in the world.
About the World's Best Hospital Report 2024
The World’s Best Hospitals 2024 is released annually by Newsweek in partnership with global data platform Statista, starting in 2019.
In the 2024 report, over 2,400 hospitals across 30 countries have been ranked.
The hospitals of Malaysia and Chile were included in the report for the first time.
Hospitals of the United States, most of Western Europe and Scandinavia, 10 Asian countries, Australia and countries elsewhere in the Americas have been included.
Hospitals have been ranked on the following parameters:
- Opinion of over 85,000 medical experts gathered through an online survey;
- public data from post-hospitalisation patient surveys and their general satisfaction level,
- patient /doctor ratio,
- Hygiene and patient experience data, as well as hospital quality metrics.
- Statista’s Patient-Reported Outcome Measures survey.
Best Hospitals of India
The World's Best Hospitals 2024 Report includes 94 hospitals and six specialist hospitals of India. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has been ranked as the best hospital in India.
