Chirag Sen and Anmol Kharb have won the men's and women's singles titles respectively in the 85th Senior National Badminton Championship 2023. Chirag (Almora, Uttarakhand) won the men's singles title by defeating Tarun M of Telangana in the final. While Anmol (Haryana) won the women's singles title by defeating Tanvi Sharma of Punjab. Both shuttlers Chirag and Anmol have become national champions for the first time.
About the 85th National Badminton Championship 2023:
- It was organised in Guwahati from 18 to 24 December 2023. This was the 85th Senior National Badminton Championship held in Guwahati. Along with this, the 76th Inter-State-Inter-Zonal Championship was also organised in Guwahati.
- Chirag Sen received a prize of Rs 3.25 lakh for becoming the winner.
- Odisha Masters title-winning pair of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Cresto won the mixed doubles title. Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Cresto defeated Nitin and Navdha.

75th Inter State-Inter Zonal Badminton Championship 2023:
- Maharashtra won the title in the women's category in the team events of the 75th Inter State-Inter Zonal Badminton Championship in Guwahati. Whereas the Airport Authority of India (AAI) won the title in the men's category of the same competition.
- The premier AAI team reached the finals of both men's and women's teams and managed to win the men's title by defeating Karnataka 3–0.
- The prestigious National Championships organised by the Badminton Association of India was held in Assam after four years.
