69th National Film Awards for the year 2021 announced

The jury of the 69th National Film Awards announced the winners for the year 2021 on 24 August 2023. This special awards ceremony was organised at the National Media Center in Delhi.

Prior to the announcement, the chairman and other jury members met Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur and presented the selections for the awards to him.

This time's jury committee for the National Film Awards 2023 includes Yatendra Mishra, Ketan Mehta, Neeraj Shekhar, Basant Sai and Nanu Bhasin.
This award was given this time in 31 feature, 24 non feature, 3 category best writing category. Which will be based on the films of the year 2021.

Best Actor: Allu Arjun (Pushpa The Rise)
Best Direction: Nikhil Mahajan (Marathi film) Godavari
Best Actress: Alia Bhatt (Gangubai Kathiawadi) Kriti Sanon (Mimi)
Best Supporting Actress: Pallavi Joshi (Kashmir Files)
Best Supporting Actor: Pankaj Tripathi (MM)
Best Music Direction: Pushpa and R R R
Best Costume Designer: Sardar Udham Singh
Best Production Design: Sardar Udham Singh
Best Editing: Gangubai Kathiawadi
Best Choreography: R R R
Best Cinematography: Sardar Udham Singh
Best Male Singer: Kaal Bhairav (R R R)
Best Feature Hindi Film:
- Vicky Kaushal starrer film Sardar Udham Singh has got huge success in the National Film Awards 2023. It has been selected as the Best Hindi Feature Film. It is directed by Sujit Sarkar.
Best Non Feature Film:
- Director Shrishti Lakhera's Ek Tha Gaon has been selected as the Best Non-Feature Film at the 69th National Film Awards.
Best Short Film Fiction:
- Filmmaker Nemil Shah's Gujarati film Dal Bhaat has received this year's special award for Best Short Film Fiction.

National Film Awards:

The National Film Award is given to artists who have done excellent work in the field of art, culture, cinema and literature.
Its main objective is to encourage the production of good films.
The award is divided into three categories: Feature, Non-Feature and Best Writing in Cinema.
The Honourable President of India gives this award to the winners.
In the National Film Awards, separate awards are given on the basis of each category, which are known as Swarna Kamal, Rajat Kamal. Some awards carry cash prizes as well, while in some categories only medals are given.
Towards the winners of last year's National Film Awards, Ajay Devgan and South actor Suriya got the title of Best Actor in the 68th National Film Awards. Ajay was given this honour for Tanhaji and Suriya for the film Soorarai Pottru.
