Candidates can use the provisional answer key to compare their recorded responses and calculate their probable raw score. The UGC NET examination consists of 150 questions carrying a total of 300 marks, with 2 marks awarded for every correct answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted questions.
Candidates can calculate their probable raw score using the following formula:
Estimated Raw Score = Number of Correct Answers × 2
For example, if a candidate has 110 correct answers, the probable raw score can be calculated as:
110 × 2 = 220 marks
The calculated score is only an estimate based on the provisional answer key. The final marks and qualifying status will be determined by NTA after the challenge process and release of the final answer key.
UGC NET June 2026 Re-Exam Result for English, Commerce and Sociology will be prepared after the challenge process is completed and the final answer key is finalised.
NTA will evaluate the responses using the final answer key prepared after considering valid challenges raised by candidates. The final answer key will be published before the result is declared.
Candidates should note that the result for these three subjects is separate from the UGC NET June 2026 result already declared for the other 84 subjects. For complete details about the result, including the result link, scorecard, qualifying status and cut-off marks, candidates can check the UGC NET June 2026 Result update.
After checking the provisional answer key, candidates should compare it with their recorded responses and calculate their probable score. If they find any incorrect answer or discrepancy, they can object within the prescribed challenge window.
Candidates should keep the challenge confirmation and payment receipt safely for future reference. NTA will review the submitted challenges through subject experts and prepare the final answer key based on the outcome of the challenge process.
The final answer key will be treated as final, and no further challenge or grievance regarding the answer key will be entertained after the closure of the challenge window or declaration of the result.
