How to Check Answers and Calculate UGC NET Raw Score?

Candidates can use the UGC NET June 2026 Final Answer Key to compare the answers they marked during the examination with the answers finalised by the NTA. The final answer key can help in assessing the performance and calculating the estimated raw marks based on the official marking scheme of UGC. The National Eligibility Test exam paper consists of 150 questions carrying a total of 300 marks, with 2 marks for each correct answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted questions.

Candidates can calculate their estimated raw score by multiplying the number of correct answers by 2.

Estimated Raw Score = Number of Correct Answers × 2

For example, if a candidate has 110 correct answers, the estimated raw score can be calculated as follows:

110 × 2 = 220 marks

Since there is no negative marking, incorrect answers do not reduce the score. However, the marks calculated using the final answer key are only indicative. The final marks and qualifying status will be determined by the NTA and should be checked through the official UGC NET Result and Scorecard.
