Nationality

To apply for the Indian Bank Apprentice 2024 position, a candidate must meet one of the following criteria:

(i) Be a citizen of India,
(ii) Be a subject of Nepal,
(iii) Be a subject of Bhutan,
(iv) Be a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India to settle permanently before 1 January 1962.

(v) Be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam) to permanently settle in India.

Age Limit & Relaxation

Online Written Test (objective type)

• The online written examination will consist of four parts.
• The test will be conducted in major regional languages (as determined by the Bank), except for General English, which will be in English.
• A merit list will be created state-wise and category-wise.
• Candidates who qualify the test will be ranked based on their aggregate marks in descending order within their respective states and categories.

Local Language Proficiency Test

• Candidates applying for training seats in a specific state must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in one of the specified local languages of that state.
• A test for knowledge of the opted local language will be conducted as part of the selection process, following the online written examination.
• Candidates who do not qualify this language test will not be engaged as apprentices.
• Candidates who provide an 8th, 10th, or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate indicating that they studied the specified local language are exempt from the language test.
• The language test will be held at a centre determined by the Bank in the state for which the application is made.

1. The online written examination will consist of four parts: Reasoning Aptitude and Computer Knowledge, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and General Financial Awareness.

3. There will be a total of 100 objective questions, carrying a total of 100 marks.
4. Negative marking will apply for incorrect answers, with 1/4th of the marks deducted for each wrong answer.

Indian Bank Apprentice Training 2024

The Indian Bank Apprentice training/engagement period is 12 months of on-the-job training. Apprentices are entitled to the holidays recognized by the Bank. Apprentices will receive on-the-job training. After completing one month of their apprenticeship, apprentices are allowed one casual leave. No other types of leave are applicable. Apprentices can avail a maximum of 4 casual leaves at a time. Any accumulated leave will automatically be forfeited upon termination or completion of the contract. The daily hours of training will align with those applicable to the clerical staff of the Bank. No apprentice shall be permitted to work overtime.
