Officer Scale-I Vacancies

Officer Scale-I, also known as the Probationary Officer (PO), is an entry-level officer post in regional rural banks. The number of vacancies for Officer Scale-I varies from bank to bank. This year total 2485 vacancies have been released for officer scale 1. Interested candidates for this position should fulfil the required educational qualifications and age criteria. To become officer scale-1 candidates must qualify in the selection process.

Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Vacancies

The Office Assistant position, commonly referred as Clerk is another important role in regional rural banks. The number of vacancies for the Office Assistant position is generally higher compared to other positions. This year 5538 positions of office assistants will be filled by the IBPS exam 2023. Candidates applying for this position should fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the IBPS.

Officer Scale-II and III Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB Exam

Applicants must be Nepalese or Indian citizens or from Bhutan or Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, to settle in India permanently, or individuals of Indian origin who have migrated from Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,  Pakistan, Burma, Ethiopia, or Vietnam to settle in India permanently.

Age Limit

To appear in the RRB exam, candidates must satisfy the age limit. It also varies depending on the position. However, there are age relaxations available for candidates who meet government requirements for special categories. Candidates wishing to apply for the exam must be under the IBPS RRB age limit as on 01.06.2023 :

For Officer Scale- III - Candidates should be at least 21 years and not more than 40 years.

For Officer Scale-II - Candidates should be at least 21 years and not more than 32 years.

For Officer Scale-I - Candidates must be at least 18 years old and under 30.

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Candidates should be above 18 years and below 28 years.
