IBPS RRB Notification 2024 (Out): Apply for Officer Scale I, II & III

IBPS RRB 2024 Notification has been issued by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on 7 June 2024 for the Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (CRP RRBs XIII). IBPS RRB Online Application 2024 is invited from the eligible candidates for recruitment of Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”- Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Interested candidates can submit their IBPS RRB Officer Scale Application 2024 from 7 to 27 June 2024. 

IBPS RRB PO & Officer Scale II & III online examination will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) in August, September and October 2024 for regional rural banks across the country. The interviews for recruitment of Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III) under the same process will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the assistance of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority, has tentatively scheduled the event for November 2024.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale Notification 2024 has been issued with the detailed eligibility criteria of the IBPS RRB positions that candidates should know before applying for the examination. Nationality

To apply for the IBPS RRB Officer Scale position, candidates must meet specific nationality criteria. Eligible candidates include Indian citizens, subjects of Bhutan or Nepal, Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, and persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates are required to hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit

To appear in the RRB exam, candidates must satisfy the age limit. It also varies depending on the position. However, there are age relaxations available for candidates who meet government requirements for special categories.

Officer Scale II

Candidates should be between 21 to 32 years of age on 1 June 2024 i.e. candidates must not have been born earlier than 03.06.1992 or later than 31.05.2003, inclusive of both dates.

Officer Scale III

Candidates should be between 21 to 40 years of age on 1 June 2024 i.e.candidates must not have been born earlier than 03.06.1984 or later than 31.05.2003, inclusive of both dates.

Relaxation Age

IBPS RRB Selection process varies from post to post. In this section, we are detailing the IBPS RRB Officer Scale Selection Process.

IBPS RRB PO/ Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager) Selection Process

  • Preliminary Exam:- Candidates have to qualify in both tests by securing minimum cut-off marks. A sufficient number of candidates in each category, based on requirements, will be shortlisted for the Online Main Examination.
  • Main Exam:- Marks obtained only in the online main examination will be considered for shortlisting for interview and final merit listing.
  • Interview:- Candidates shortlisted in the Main Examination for the post of Officers Scale I under CRP-RRBs-XIII will subsequently be called for an interview, which will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with assistance from NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II & III (Manager/ Senior Manager) Selection Process

  • Single level Examination:- Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the Online Single Examination to be considered to be shortlisted for an interview
  • Interview:- Candidates who have been selected in the Single Level Examination for the positions of Officers Scale II and III under CRP-RRBs-XIII will be invited for an interview. The coordination of this process will be overseen by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank, with support from NABARD and IBPS, in consultation with the appropriate authority.
