IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria 2024 

Prospective applicants for CRP SPL-XIV must verify their compliance with the specified minimum eligibility criteria outlined by IBPS. The IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria commonly includes requirements related to nationality, age limits, educational qualifications, and other essential criteria. Below, we are detailing the IBPS SO 2024 Eligibility Criteria:-

Nationality

An eligible candidate must fall into one of the following categories:

(i) A citizen of India

(ii) A subject of Nepal

(iii) A subject of Bhutan

(iv) A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962 with the intent of settling permanently

(v) A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India. 

Note: However, individuals falling under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must possess a Government of India-issued certificate of eligibility.

Age Limit and Relaxation

Applicants should fall within the age of 20 to 30 years, meaning they must have been born between 02.08.1994 and 01.08.2004 (inclusive). Specific categories are eligible for age relaxations, detailed as follows:

IBPS SO Application Form was available online from 1 August to 28 August 2024. Here we are providing step-by-step guidance to apply online for the IBPS SO Recruitment 2024:-

  1. Visit the official website of the IBPS. 
  2. Click on the "NEW REGISTRATION" button located at the top-right corner of the homepage.
  3. Begin by entering basic details such as name, contact number, email ID, address, etc. Then, click on "save and next."
  4. Upload a passport-sized photograph and a clear signature in the specified format. The photograph should be 4.5 cm * 3.5 cm, with file sizes between 20 KB to 50 KB. Signatures should be between 10 KB and 20 KB.
  5. Enter your academic and professional qualifications. After filling in the details, click "save and next."
  6. Preview your application form, as no further changes will be allowed after this step. Once reviewed, click "save and next."
  7. Make the payment for your application fee using the online payment options—Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
  8. Click on the "Final Submit" button. Your application will be successfully submitted. IBPS will send you an email and text message with your registration ID and password for further login to the official website.

Application Fees 

To finalize their application, candidates are required to submit the application fee. The Application Fees/Intimation Charges are payable from 01.08.2024 to 28.08.2024 (only through online payment), covering both dates. Bank transaction charges for online payment of application fees and intimation charges are the candidate's responsibility. The application fee is tabulated below:

IBPS SO 2024 Selection Process

IBPS SO Selection Process is detailed through IBPS SO Notification The IBPS Specialist Officers (SO) selection process will be conducted in two tiers: Online Preliminary Examination and Online Main Examination. To check the detailed IBPS SO Selection Process have a look at the below points:-

  1. Online Preliminary Examination: Candidates must first qualify the Online Preliminary Examination to be shortlisted for the next phase.
  2. Online Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates from the Preliminary Examination will advance to the Online Main Examination.
  3. Common Interview: Those who qualify the Online Main Examination will be invited to a Common Interview, conducted by the Participating Banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank.
  4. Provisional Allotment: Based on the actual vacancies reported for the financial year 2025-26, considering the business needs of the Participating Banks and in accordance with government reservation policies and administrative convenience, candidates will be assigned to one of the Participating Banks on a provisional basis.

IBPS Specialist Officer Result 2024

Following the successful completion of each exam phase, the IBPS SO Result 2024 will be disclosed. The final merit list is created based on the combined scores from the main exam and the interview phase. The Prelims stage serves as a qualification stage, shortlisting candidates for the Mains Exam. Rankings in the merit list are arranged in descending order of candidates' obtained marks. Those securing a place on the merit list will receive an appointment letter from the Bank of their preference.

IBPS SO Cut-off Marks 2024

IBPS SO cut-off marks will be published along with the results of IBPS SO posts. Candidates need a minimum score in the online Main Examination and high scores for interview shortlisting. Cut-offs are based on vacancy numbers, determining interviews. Until after the interview process, Main exam scores won't be disclosed to shortlisted candidates.
