To apply for the RSSB 4th Grade Recruitment, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the board for educational qualifications and age limit. Below is a detailed overview of the eligibility criteria for RSSB 4th Grade Employee Recruitment 2024.
To be eligible to apply for the RSSB 4th Grade posts, a candidate must fulfill one of the following nationality conditions:
Must be a citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling here, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from one of these countries – Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note: Candidates coming under categories (2), (3), (4), and (5) of the nationality must have a citizenship or migration certificate issued by the Government of India.
A candidate must be between 18 to 40 years, to be eligible to appear for the RSMSSB Grade 4th examination.
Upper Age relaxation is also provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the rules of the Rajasthan Government. Check the detailed notification to know about the category-wise relaxation.
Candidate must have passed the Secondary (10th) Examination from a recognized board or institution.
Note: it is mandatory to have the required qualification on or before the last date of application submission. Candidates who did not complete their educational qualification or failed to produce their certificates by the last date were allowed to withdraw their applications.
The application process for RSSB 4th Grade Recruitment 2024 was conducted in online mode through the official SSO Portal of the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. Candidates were required to follow the steps below to complete their application:
Step 1: Candidates had to fill out the application through the SSO Rajasthan portal, using their SSO ID. New users had to create an SSO ID before applying.
Step 2: After logging in, applicants had to select the 4th Grade recruitment link and accurately fill in their personal, educational, and contact details.
Step 3: Scanned copies of a recent passport-size photograph and signature had to be uploaded in the prescribed format.
Step 4: The application fee had to be paid online through debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-Mitra services. The fee amount varied by category.
Step 5: After verifying all the details, candidates had to submit the application and take a printout for future reference.

The selection process for RSSB 4th Grade posts follows a two-stage process: a written examination and document verification, for shortlisting deserving candidates for various Group D roles under the Rajasthan Government departments.
Written Exam: Candidates have to appear for a written test, which includes multiple-choice questions (MCQ) covering General Hindi, General English, General Studies and Mathematics subjects. The mode of examination will be whether online or offline, is decided by the board depending on administrative feasibility.
Documents Verification: Candidates who score above the cut-off marks will be shortlisted for the next stage, which is document verification. At this stage, candidates must produce all relevant original certificates in support of their eligibility claims, such as academic qualifications, category status, and domicile. Only after successful verification will final selection and appointment procedures move forward.
The final selection list is compiled strictly on the basis of the written exam marks. There is no additional stage beyond the above two for determining merit.
Candidates preparing for the Rajasthan 4th Grade Exam 2024 must be aware of the detailed 4th Grade Employee Exam Pattern decided by the RSSB.
The question paper will be of objective type (multiple-choice questions).
All questions carry equal marks.
There will be a Negative marking of 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer.

The admit card for the RSSB 4th Grade Employee Exam 2024 will be released on the official website of the Rajasthan Service Selection Board around 7–10 days before the exam date. All candidates must download their admit cards in time in order to appear for the written exam. The hall ticket/e-admit card will contain all important details of the candidate and exam like exam centre, candidate’s roll number, shift timing, and instructions. Entry to the exam centre will not be allowed without this 4th Grade admit Card.

As per the 7th Pay Commission rules implemented by the Rajasthan State Government, the salary for the 4th Grade (Class IV) posts will be given under Pay Matrix Level-1.
