Prof. Meena Charanda honored with 'International Culture Award'

Professor Meena Charanda, Principal of Kalindi College, Delhi University, was given the 'International Culture Award' for the year 2024. Prof. Meena Charanda has been given this honor for her remarkable work in the field of education and social service. Prof. Charanda was presented with this honor at a program at the India International Center on March 30, 2024.

• Professor Charanda was given a memento, plaque, shield and citation from the university in the award.

The 5 member committee headed by Prof. Chose Charanda:

• K Yogesh, Chairman of Socrates Social Research University (Trust), has said that a 5-member committee was formed for the International Culture Award – 2024.
• Experienced members from every field were kept in this committee. Names of more than 50 women had come to the committee for this honour. In the end, the committee finally honored Prof. for doing remarkable work in the field of education and social service. Charanda was selected.
• Prof. Charanda was also selected for this honor for his excellent research work in the field of political science.
• Other women and men were selected for the ‘International Culture Award’, which will be announced soon.

About Professor Meena Charanda:

• Professor Charanda has been teaching in the Political Science Department of Kalindi College for more than two decades. Professor Charanda has obtained a PhD degree from Delhi University on the study of Dalit Assemblies of Uttar Pradesh. Besides this, Professor Charanda's book on the role of Dalit MLAs in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly has also been published.
• Apart from this, more than 50 articles have been published in various newspapers and magazines and have discharged the responsibilities of various committees and activities of the college.
• Along with this, two PhD researchers are doing research work under the direction of Professor Charanda.
