Prime Minister Modi dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth more than Rs 48,100 crore in Rajkot, Gujarat on 25 February 2024. These projects include important sectors like health, roads, rail, energy, petroleum & natural gas and tourism.

AIIMS inaugurated in five cities:

  • On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi has inaugurated AIIMS in five important cities of the country. Mainly among these
    • AIIMS Rajkot
    • AIIMS Rae Bareli
    • AIIMS Mangalagiri
    • AIIMS Bathinda
    • AIIMS Kalyani
  • It is noteworthy that on February 20, 2024, PM Modi had inaugurated IITs and IIMs in many cities of the country at a program in Jammu.

Foundation stone for more than 200 health facilities:

  • The PM laid the foundation stone of over 200 health care infrastructure projects in 23 States/UTs and dedicated them to the nation. Its total cost is approximately more than Rs 11,500 crore. Mainly in this:
    • JIPMER Medical College, Karaikal, Puducherry
    • Inaugurated a 300-bed satellite center of PGIMER in Sangrur, Punjab.
    • He has also established the National Center for Aging in Chennai including the 90 bedded Multi Specialty Consulting Unit of JIPMER at Yanam, Puducherry;
    • New Government Medical College in Purnea, Bihar;
    • Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for various health projects including a 100-bed satellite center of PGIMER in Ferozepur, Punjab;
    • New Medical College Building at RML Hospital, Delhi;
    • Critical Care Block at RIMS, Imphal;
  • Also laid the foundation of nursing colleges in Koderma and Dumka of Jharkhand among others.

Inauguration of 115 projects:

  • Apart from these, under the National Health Mission and the PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), the PM inaugurated 115 projects. These include the following:
    • 78 projects under PM-ABHIM
    • 30 units of various projects like Community Health Centre, Primary Health Care Centre, Model Hospital, Transit Hostel etc. under National Health Mission.

Pune's National Institute of Naturopathy is named 'Nisarg Gram':

  • The Prime Minister also inaugurated the National Institute of Naturopathy named 'Nisarg Gram' in Pune.
  • It includes a 250-bed hospital with Naturopathy Medical College as well as a multidisciplinary research and extension centre.

Central Yoga & Naturopathy Research Institute inaugurated in Jhajjar:

  • Apart from this, PM Modi also inaugurated the Central Yoga and Naturopathy Research Institute in Jhajjar, Haryana. The facility will feature state-of-the-art research amenities for yoga and naturopathy.

21 projects of ESIC inaugurated:

  • During the programme, the PM inaugurated 21 projects of Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) worth approximately Rs 2280 crore. Dedicated these projects to the nation, which mainly include
    • Two medical colleges and hospitals will be established in Patna, Bihar, and Alwar, Rajasthan;
    • 8 hospitals in eight cities of the country;
    • Rajasthan consists of 3 dispensaries at Neemrana, Abu Road and Bhilwara.
    • ESI dispensaries were inaugurated at 8 locations.

Promotion of renewable energy:

  • On this occasion, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of several renewable energy production units. It mainly includes the following:
    • 300 MW Bhuj-II Solar Power Project;
    • Various renewable energy projects such as Grid Connected 600 MW Solar PV Power Project;
    • Khavra Solar Power Project;
    • 200 MW Dayapur-II Wind Power Project.

Foundation stone of new Mundra-Panipat pipeline:

  • The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of the new Mundra-Panipat pipeline project worth over Rs 9000 crore.
  • Its capacity is 8.4 MMTPA.
  • Its length is 1194 kilometers.
  • The Mundra-Panipat pipeline was commissioned to transport crude oil from Mundra, Gujarat Indian Oil's refinery at Panipat in Haryana.
