The joint military exercise Desert Cyclone-2024 between the armies of India and UAE will be conducted in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan from January 2 to January 15, 2024.
The objective of exercise:
- Desert Cyclone aims to learn and share best practices in urban operations.
- The potential areas of bilateral cooperation in the defence sector include the production and development of defence equipment, joint exercises of the armed forces, especially naval exercises, sharing information on tactics and doctrines, etc.
Joint military exercise between India and UAE:
- The first India-UAE joint air force exercise was held at Al Dhafra Base, Abu Dhabi, in September 2008.
- India has also regularly participated in the Abu Dhabi Biennial International Defense Exhibition (IDEX).

- It is located in Western Asia.
- Islam is the dominant religion in the United Arab Emirates, with the majority of the population being Sunni Muslims.
