Italian Marco Bezzecchi wins the first Indian MotoGP Sport 2 min read

Italian motorcycle racer Marco Bezzecchi won the first Indian Moto GP held at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) racetrack in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on 23 September 2023.

Representing the Mooney VR46 Racing team, Bezzecchi completed the race in 36 minutes, 59 seconds and 15 microseconds.

Spain's Jorge Martin, representing Prime Pramac Racing, finished second, and France's Fabio Quartararo, representing Monster Energy Yamaha, came third.

The trophy to the winner was presented by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. 

The Moto GP was organised by FairStreet Sports (MotoGP Bharat) under the supervision of the international motorsports governing body, the FIM(Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme).

The Buddh International Circuit has hosted three Formula 1 motor car races between 2011 and 2013.
