Indian women cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, journalist Nandita Venkatesan and architect Vinu Daniel were the three Indians included in the prestigious Time magazine’s annual “ 2023 TIME100 Next: the Emerging Leaders Shaping the World" list.

34 year old Harmanpreet Kaur is the captain of the Indian women cricket team. She will lead the Indian women's cricket team in the 19th Asian Games 2023 to be held in Hangzhou, China. She is the first Indian cricketer to sign a Big Bash League contract with Sydney Thunder in Australia. Big Bash is a 20 over tournament like the IPL played in Australia.
She recently led the Mumbai Indian team to victory in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL).
33 year old Nandita Venkatesan who works with Mint news paper is a tuberculosis survivor who lost her hearing due to the side effects of a drug administered to them. She and South African Phumeza Tisile successfully challenged a patent renewal application filed by Johnson & Johnson for its tuberculosis drug Bedaquiline. It is a safe drug which has little side effect but due to patents being held by the company it is very costly and inaccessible to the general public suffering from tuberculosis.
Vinu Daniel is an architect of Kerala based in Dubai. He is an architect and uses mud and waste as the chief components to make structures that are both utilitarian and alluring. He has set up a company called Wallmakers.
