Five Indian musicians, including famous tabla player Zakir Hussain and flute player Rakesh Chaurasia, won the most prestigious 'Grammy Awards 2024' awards in the field of music. Zakir Hussain won three Grammy Awards while Rakesh Chaurasia won two.

Five Indian musicians who have won 'Grammy Awards 2024':
- Shakti, a fusion music group of Indian musicians, has won the 2024 Grammy Awards in the category of Best Global Music Album for 'This Moment'. The five Indian composers are:
- Tabla player Zakir Hussain
- Flute player Rakesh Chaurasia
- Singer Shankar Mahadevan
- Violinist ganesh rajagopalan
- Percussionist Selvaganesh Vinayakram
Best Global Music Album Award:
- ‘Shakti’ was given the Best Global Music Album Award of 2024 for ‘This Moment’. The album features four Indians as well as its founding member, renowned British guitarist John McLaughlin.
- ‘Shakti’s first studio album in over 45 years ‘This Moment’ was released in June 2023.
Hussain gets Grammy Awards for 'Pashto' and 'As We Speak':
- Apart from Shakti, Hussain also received the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Performance for 'Pashto' and Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for 'As We Speak'.
- There were eight nominations in the Best Global Music Performance category, including Falu's song 'Abundance in Millets'. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also appeared in this song.
- This is not Hussain's first win at the Grammy Awards organized by the US-based Recording Academy. Hussain has previously won Grammy Awards in various categories and in the solo category.
Chaurasia gets Grammy Awards for 'Pashto' and 'As We Speak':
- Rakesh Chaurasia, nephew of great flute player Hariprasad Chaurasia, won two Grammy Awards for 'Pashto' and 'As We Speak' along with American banjo player Bela Fleck and American bassist Edgar Meyer.
- Mahadevan, Rajagopalan and Selvaganesh came on stage to receive the award while McLaughlin did not attend the ceremony. Mahadevan gave the credit for this victory to his wife Sangeeta.
- Shankar Mahadevan and Selvaganesh have received the first Grammy Awards for their music.
Grammy Awards for a song written by PM Narendra Modi:
- 'Abundance in Millets', a song written by PM Narendra Modi, has also got a place in the Global Song category in the Grammy Awards 2024.
- PM Modi has written this song with singers Falguni Shah and Gaurav Shah.
