UPSC CDS (2) 2023 written exam result has been declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 3 October 2023. The commission has shortlisted a total of 6908 candidates on the basis of candidates’ performances in the Combined Defence Services (II) Examination held on 3 September 2023. UPSC CDS (II) Written Exam 2023 Result OUT

Selected candidates will be interviewed by the Service Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence for admission to:

(i) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, Course beginning in July 2024; 

(ii) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, 157th (DE) Course beginning in July 2024; 

(iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (216 F(P)) commencing in July 2024; 

(iv)  Officers Training Academy, Chennai 120th SSC (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course commencing in October 2024, and

(v)  Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 34th SSC Women (Non-Technical) (UPSC) Course commencing in October 2024.

Those who qualified in the written exam and chose the Army (IMA/OTA) as their first choice are required to register themselves on the recruiting directorate's website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in to receive information about SSB interviews. Candidates who have already registered on the recruiting directorate website should not re-register.

How to check UPSC CDS (II) Result 2023?

The CDS 2 Result is now available online in PDF format. All candidates can simply check their CDS results by downloading the PDFs from UPSC’s website, which have been released roll number and name-wise. Candidates can check their CDS 2 2023 Result by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the UPSC official website, www.upsc.gov.in, or click on the link provided above.

Step 2: On the homepage, look for the "CDS 2 2023 Result" link and click on it.

Step 3: The roll numbers of successful candidates will be displayed in a PDF file.

Step 4: To see if you've qualified for the next step, use the search feature (Ctrl+F) and enter your roll number.

What after CDS 2 Written Exam Result?

Following the announcement of the CDS 2 2023 results, candidates who have declared qualified for the SSB interview will be notified about the next stage. The SSB interview is divided into several parts, which include a Psychological Test, Group Test, and a Personal Interview. Candidates who pass the SSB interview will be scrutinised further based on their medical fitness. The candidate's performance in all of these phases will be used to make the final decision. 

Submission of Documents:

Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the CDS 2 Result PDF must submit original certificates supporting their age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC (C) (Army Wing/Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing), and other claims to the IHQ of MoD (Army) / Dte Gen of Rtg (Rtg A) CDSE at the addresses mentioned below.

• CDSE Entry for SSC male candidates and SSC women entry for female candidates - IHQ of MoD (Army) / Dte Gen of Rtg (Rtg A).
• In case of IMA/SSC first choice candidates - West Block III, R. K. Puram, New Delhi-110066.
• In case of Navy first choice candidates - Naval HQ “DMPR” (OI & R Section), Room No. 204,‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011
• In case of Air Force first choice candidates - PO3 (A)/Air Headquarters ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi110004

All the original documents must be submitted by the candidates to the concerned Ministry/Department not later than the below-mentioned dates:

• 01 July, 2024 for IMA & INA,
• 13 May, 2024 for AFA, and 
• 01 October 2024 in case of SSC course.
