The Indian Air Force (IAF) issued the AFCAT 1 2024 Short Notification on 18 November 2023, allowing interested applicants to apply for the batch course beginning in January 2025.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) will soon release the detailed AFCAT 01 2024 (Air Force Common Admission Test) notification on the official website (afcat.cdac.in). A total of 317 vacancies in the Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), Ground Duty (Non-Technical), and Flying branches will be filled through this recruitment. Applications for the NCC Special Entry Scheme (for the flying branch) will also be accepted.

AFCAT 2024 Notification

The online application for taking the exam is set to open on 01 December  2023. The deadline for applying is December 30th. The notification will include the exam date and other important information. Aspiring candidates who want to fly in the sky and protect the nation's airspace should rejoice now that the AFCAT 1 2024 recruitment process has been officially announced.

Please keep in mind that, according to the official announcement, the EKT (Engineer Knowledge Test) will not be included in the AFCAT 2024 Exam.

AFCAT 1 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • Flying Branch: 12th grade with 50% in Math and Physics, and graduation from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% or equivalent. OR a BE/B Tech degree with at least 60% or equivalent.OR Candidates who have passed Sections A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% or equivalent.
  • Ground Duty: Aeronautical Engineer - 12th with 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics and years of graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology OR cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics
  • Administration - 12th and graduation with at least 60% marks or equivalent, or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with at least 60% marks or similar.
  • Education - 12th and Post-Graduation with 50% in any discipline, including integrated courses delivering PG (single degree without permission to exit and lateral admission), and Graduation with 60% in any discipline.
  • Logistics - Graduate in any subject with a minimum of 60% grades or equivalent, or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • NCC - A minimum of 60% in Math and Physics at Senior Secondary (10+2). OR Graduation with a minimum of three years of degree courses in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR BE/B Tech degree (four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalence

  • On the homepage, click on the AFCAT 01/2024 under the Candidate Login Tab.
  • Enter your name, email address, phone number, and so on to register.
  • Log in and carefully complete the form with your desired option entry, Personal, Educational, and other required information.
  • Upload the required papers, which include a photo, signature, and thumb impression, in the format specified.
  • Choose your exam location and pay your exam fee.
  • Download and print the completed application form for future reference.

The AFCAT 1 Online Application 2024 link will be active from 01 December 2023 (11:00 AM) until 30 December 2023 (11:00 PM).

The AFCAT 1 Notification 2024 was issued by the Indian Air Force on 18 November 2023.
