The selection procedure for UP Police Constable Recruitment consists of a written exam, physical efficiency test and document verification. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria are qualified for the written exam and physical efficiency test.
Candidates who successfully submit their application forms are eligible to take the written exam. There will be 150 questions from four subjects for a total of 300 marks, with a 0.5 mark penalty for each incorrect answer.
Qualified candidates in the written examination must go through a document verification process (the officials will check the candidate's original documents) and a Physical Measurement Test (PMT) in which their height and chest (only for males) will be measured. This stage is a qualifying round.
Candidates who pass the DV and PST are eligible to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This stage is a qualifying round.
