 SBI PO Notification 2023 has been issued by the State Bank of India on 7 September 2023. SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2023

Before applying for the SBI PO Recruitment 2023, candidates must check the SBI PO Eligibility Criteria to ensure that they are eligible to appear for the SBI exam 2023. Here we are providing the SBI PO Eligibility Criteria details, which consist of nationality, age limit and educational qualification:-

(a) Nationality:

The candidate should be an Indian citizen for applying in the SBI PO Recruitment 2023.

(b) Age Limit:

Candidates are required to be between 21 and 30 years of age as of April 1, 2023. In other words, candidates should have been born no later than April 1, 2002, and no earlier than April 2, 1993, with both dates inclusive.

Relaxation Age:

Specific categories will be granted certain relaxations in the upper age limit. The relaxation in the upper age limit is provided as follows:

(c) Educational Qualification

To apply for the SBI PO examination, a candidate should have below-mentioned academic qualifications:-

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised University in any discipline or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Candidates in their Final Year/Semester of Graduation can also apply for the SBI PO Position provisionally. However, if selected for an interview, they must provide proof of graduating by December 31, 2023.
  • For candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificates, the completion date of the IDD program must be on or before December 31, 2023. 
  • Candidates with qualifications in fields such as Medicine, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, Cost, Accountancy and similar qualifications are also eligible to apply.  

SBI PO 2023 Application Process                              

To apply for the SBI PO 2023 Exam, candidates must complete the online registration process through the designated website. Registration is considered complete only when the application fee is submitted to the bank in online mode on or before the specified deadline of September 27, 2023. 

If you are facing any trouble in applying for the SBI PO exam then below we are providing the steps for submitting an SBI PO application, which candidates should follow carefully to apply:-

  1. Visit the official website of the SBI and click the “NEW REGISTRATION” tab.
  2. Now, a screen will appear where you have to enter your basic details, such as educational qualifications. Provide category information, disability status, previous SBI employment, etc.
  3. Review your form and receive registration details via email and SMS. Agree to terms and conditions and submit.
  4. Upload required documents like Signature, Photograph, and SBI PO Hand Written Declaration in the specified format.
  5. To complete the application process, pay the application fee online using a Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
  6. Click on Submit to complete the application process. Take a printout of the final submission for future reference.

  • The Exam will be conducted in online mode for a duration of 1 hour.
  • Exam will be conducted for 100 marks.
  • 1/4th marks deduction for each incorrect answer will be applicable as a negative marking.
  • The examination will be divided into three sections.

Main Examination Pattern 

The Main Examination will be conducted online. It will comprise two parts:

  • Objective Test: This test carries 200 marks and will last for 3 hours. It consists of four sections, each with separate timings.
  • Descriptive Test: This test carries 50 marks and will be conducted immediately after the Objective Test ends. Candidates are required to type their Descriptive Test responses on the computer.

SBI PO Interview 2023

The Bank will administer a Psychometric test to profile the personalities of candidates shortlisted for Phase III. The test results may be presented to the Interview panel to provide a comprehensive understanding of the candidates.

  • Marks obtained in Phase II (Main Examination - Objective and Descriptive) will be added to Phase III (Group Exercise & Interview) marks to create the final merit list.

SBI PO stands for State Bank of India Probationary Officer. This designation is highly esteemed in the banking sector for several compelling reasons:

Candidates are required to download the SBI PO 2023 admit card directly from the official bank's website. Physical copies of the SBI PO Admit Card will not be dispatched via post. To access the official website and obtain the admit card, candidates will need the following information:

The SBI PO Prelims Result determines candidates' eligibility for the SBI PO Mains examination.

The final merit list of selected candidates is prepared by considering the cumulative scores of the Mains examination and the interview process.
