Nationality

To be eligible for the Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice position, candidates must:

• Be an Indian citizen, or
• Be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
• Be a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962, intending to permanently settle, or
• Be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or specific East African countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

Age Limit 

For the Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice position, candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old as of the cut-off date, 1 August 2024. For General Category and EWS candidates, this means their date of birth should fall between 1 August 1996 and 1 August 2004, inclusive. 

Relaxation Age

Educational Qualification

For the Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice position, candidates must have a degree (graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. 

The degree must have been awarded between April 1, 2020, and August 1, 2024, inclusive. Candidates must also provide mark sheets and a provisional or degree certificate from their university or college when requested by the bank.

Application Fees

Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice 2024 Salary

Selected apprentices will receive a stipend for the one-year contract period The stipend will be deposited into the apprentices' bank accounts each month, after deducting any unauthorized leave. The government’s share of the stipend, amounting to Rs. 4,500, will be directly credited to the apprentices' bank accounts via the DBT mode, in accordance with current guidelines. Apprentices will not be entitled to any extra allowances or benefits.
