To apply for the DSSSB PGT, the candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit & Relaxation
The DSSSB PGT Age Limit is specified in the DSSSB PGT Notification 2024, and candidates must meet the prescribed age criteria to be eligible for the vacancies. Applicants must be below 30 years of age to apply for the DSSSB PGT position. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for certain categories. Educational Qualification
The required educational qualifications for the DSSSB PGT position are as follows:
- Master's Degree in the relevant field from a recognized university or institution with at least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized university;
OR
B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed.;
OR
Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from any NCTE-recognized institution.
DSSSB PGT Application Process
The DSSSB PGT Application can be submitted through the official DSSSB website from 16 January to 14 February 2025. Follow the steps below to apply online for the DSSSB PGT position:
- Visit the official website of the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB).
- Click on the 'Click For New Registration' tab displayed prominently on the home page.
- Fill in all the required fields in the registration form carefully, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Please ensure to upload a recent passport-sized photograph and your signature in the prescribed format.
- Select the appropriate payment method and pay the online application fee as per your category.
- After completing all the steps, download and print a copy of the submitted application form for your records and future use.
Application Fees
To complete the application process for DSSSB PGT, candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs.100. However, women applicants and individuals belonging to categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the fee.
The application fee must be paid exclusively through SBI e-pay, as payments made through any other mode will not be accepted. Such payments will result in the rejection of the application, and the payment made will not be refunded. It is important to note that the application fee, once paid, is non-refundable under any circumstances.
DSSSB PGT 2024 Selection Process
The selection process for the Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) position includes a single-tier examination (Tier-I). Candidates must clear this stage to proceed to the Document Verification phase. Applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, age, and experience, to ensure they meet the requirements for the position. Supporting documents will be required during the e-dossier submission phase.
If, during the scrutiny of documents, any claim made by a candidate in the application is found to be false or unsubstantiated, their candidature will be canceled without prior notice or correspondence.

DSSSB PGT Exam Pattern is detailed by the DSSSB for the Post Graduate Teacher through the DSSSB PGT Notification 2024. - The DSSSB PGT Exam Pattern includes a total of 300 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), covering topics such as General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical and Numerical Ability, English Language, Hindi Language, and the Subject Concerned.
- The exam is divided into two sections:
- Section 1: 100 questions worth 100 marks.
- Section 2: 200 questions worth 200 marks.
- All questions, except those in language-specific papers, will be bilingual (Hindi and English). For language papers, questions will be in the respective language only.
- Negative marking is applicable, with a deduction of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

DSSSB PGT 2024 Salary
The salary details for DSSSB PGTs are outlined in the DSSSB PGT Notification 2024. Candidates who successfully clear the DSSSB PGT Exam 2024 will be placed in Pay Level 8, with a pay scale ranging from Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100. The approximate Cost to Company (CTC) for a PGT teacher is Rs. 9 lakhs.
The estimated net salary for a DSSSB PGT teacher is around Rs. 59,042 per month, with a basic pay of Rs. 47,600. In addition to the basic pay, DSSSB offers various benefits to its employees, including Residential Quarters or HRA, Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance (TA), Medical Allowances, and Maternity Leave for women.
