CUET PG Notification 2024 Released: Check Eligibility & Exam Details

CUET PG Notification 2024 was issued in December 2023 for the Common University Entrance Test (PG) - 2024. Recently CUET PG Result 2024 was declared by the National Testing Agency on 13 April 2024. The Common University Eligibility Test Postgraduate 2024 took place from 11 to 28 March 2024, conducted in Computer-Based Test mode. It was held across 572 different centers situated in 262 cities, including nine cities outside India: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Manama, Riyadh, Muscat, Ottawa, Vienna, Kathmandu and Qatar.

Online applications for CUET PG 2024 were accepted from 26 December 2023 to 24 January 2024. CUET PG Exam 2024  

The CUET PG Exam 2024 took place from March 11 to March 28, 2024, in Computer-Based Test mode. It was conducted across 572 different centers situated in 262 cities, including nine cities outside India: Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Dubai, Muscat, Manama, Ottawa, Kathmandu, Vienna, and Qatar. What Is CUET PG?

The National Testing Agency administers the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG examination, designed for students aspiring to pursue postgraduate courses across various Central Universities and affiliated colleges. The selection process for the CUET PG exam comprises an online written examination followed by a counseling round. Participating institutes conduct the CUET PG counseling for successful candidates from the online written examination.

This all-encompassing exam is essential for candidates seeking admission to any of the 45 Central Universities in the country. The CUET (PG) is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, spread across three shifts, for admissions into Postgraduate for the upcoming academic session.

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2024 

Before you want to apply for the CUET 2024 PG, check the eligibility criteria first. We have detailed the CUET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria in detail below:-

Age Limit 

There is no age restriction for candidates appearing in the CUET (PG) 2024 examination. As long as candidates have either passed their bachelor's degree or its equivalent examination or are set to do so in 2024, they are eligible to appear for the CUET (PG) 2024 examination, regardless of their age. However, candidates must meet the specific age criteria set by the university they wish to enroll in.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the CUET (PG), candidates must have obtained a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks. Reserved category candidates are entitled to a 5% relaxation in this criterion.

CUET PG Application Process

To register for the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) 2024, candidates need to follow these steps:

1. Visit the official CUET website to access the CUET Registration Form 2024.
2. To initiate the registration process, select the 'Apply Online' tab.
3. Complete the registration by providing necessary details like the desired program, full name, valid email ID, mobile number, date of birth, and the displayed verification code.
4. Upon submission, an application number and password will be generated and sent to the registered email address and mobile number.
5. Log in using the provided application number and password to access and fill out the application form. This includes entering personal information, academic qualifications, and contact details.
6. Upload scanned images of a recent passport-sized photograph and signature, ensuring they adhere to the specified format and dimensions.
7. Choose examination centres based on preference and input the details accordingly.
8. After successfully submitting the online application and payment of fees, an email and SMS notification will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.
9. Take a screenshot of the final page for future reference. 

Application Fees 

To finalize the registration process for CUET (PG) – 2024, candidates must submit the registration fees. The fee amount is determined by the number of papers selected by the candidates. Payment can be made through various channels such as net banking, debit/credit card, UPI, or wallet. Candidates should note that GST and other taxes applicable as per the Government of India/Bank regulations are to be borne by the candidate.

CUET PG 2024 Admission Process

Participating in CUET (PG) - 2024 does not automatically ensure admission to the desired University. Admission is subject to fulfilling specific criteria, including eligibility requirements, ranking in the merit list, meeting medical fitness standards, verification of original documents, and other criteria established by the University.

Each Central University (CU) manages admissions independently for their respective programs. The merit list is compiled by the participating Universities/organizations. Universities may conduct their individual counseling sessions based on the scorecard of CUET (PG) - 2024 provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

CUET PG Exam Pattern

Before candidates apply for CUET PG 2024, they should check the pattern of the CUET PG Test 2024. Refer to the table for the revised CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024 below:-

1. There will be no General Test accompanying each paper. Candidates have the option to select General paper as a subject. 
2. The examination will be conducted in three shifts. Candidates will get 105 minutes to complete the exam.
3. The question paper will consist of 75 questions and each correct answer will be awarded four marks, while each wrong answer will result in a deduction of one mark.
4. Language papers will be presented in the respective language chosen by the candidate, except for Linguistic papers, which will be in English. Additionally, papers for M.Tech/Higher Sciences will be conducted exclusively in English.
5. Acharya Papers will be conducted in Sanskrit, except Hindu Studies, Indian Knowledge System, and Baudha Darshan.
6. Humanities, Sciences, and Common papers will be bilingual, and presented in both English and Hindi.
7. The English version of the questions in the question papers, except for languages and Acharya papers, will be considered final.

CUET PG 2024 Admit Card

The CUET PG e-Admit Card 2024 was released to candidates via the NTA website on 7 March 2024. Candidates were required to download the Admit Card from the NTA website and present it at the designated examination centre on the specified date and shift/timing indicated in the e-Admit Card. Participation in the examination was strictly prohibited without the CUET PG Admit Card.

CUET PG Answer Key 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has uploaded the CUET PG Answer Key 2024 for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) – 2024. It was made available on 5 April 2024. The CUET PG 2024 was conducted by NTA nationwide between 11 and 23 March, with additional dates on 27 and 28 March 2024, in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates who appeared in the CUET PG Exam 2024 could access the answer key by visiting the official website of the NTA. Candidates had raised their objections against the CUET PG Answer Key 2024 until 7 April 2024.

CUET PG Result 2024 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the CUET PG Result 2024 on April 13, 2024. Candidates can download the CUET PG 2024 Result from the official NTA website by providing their credentials such as Application Number, password, and captcha code. Securing a high score in the CUET PG written entrance examination is essential for admission to Central University. Candidates can also view their scores on the official NTA website.

CUET Cut-off Marks For PG 2024

The CUET cut-off will be revealed alongside the release of the entrance examination scorecards soon. Only candidates who exceed the cut-off marks will be invited to participate in online or offline CUET counseling, conducted by the respective authority. The CUET 2024 cut-off will be determined considering various factors including the number of applicants, difficulty levels of the exam, previous year's cut-off marks, and the availability of seats. It's crucial to understand that the CUET 2024 cut-off marks may differ based on the particular programs and universities.
