PM Modi conferred with Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados Award

The Government of Barbados conferred its prestigious Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados Award to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 6th March 2025.
The award was received by the Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a function in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles Pabitra Margherita is on a 9-day tour to Latin America and Caribbean countries. He was in Uruguay from 28 February - 2 March 2025, the Bahamas (2-4 March 2025), Barbados (4-6 March 2025), and Nicaragua (6-8 March 2025).
Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Amor Mottley announced the award for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during her meeting with Prime Minister Modi at the sidelines of the 2nd India-CARICOM summit meeting. Georgetown, Guyana, hosted the 2nd India Caricom summit meeting on 20 November 2024.
Prime Minister Modi has been conferred with the award for his strategic leadership and valuable assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Incidentally, during the 2nd India-CARICOM summit meeting, the government of the Dominican Republic conferred its highest award, the “ Dominica Award of Honour,” on Prime Minister Modi for his contribution in providing vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
