Monduro 3.0-World's Highest Mountain Biking Race In Arunachal Pradesh

In the presence of local legislator Tsering Tashi, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu launched the world's highest mountain bike competition Monduro 3.0. With reference to the current National Games in Goa, Khandu claimed that Arunachal's rise to prominence in sports m be confirmed by the fact that it is placed 21st out of 34 states and union territories in terms of medals won. In addition to wishing the participants well, Pema Khandu expressed delight that the Monduro event would now be included in the Asian Endurance Series (AES), as announced by the initiative's promoters. 

Monduro 3.0

• Mon-Duro Tawang is an Enduro Biking event that takes place in November in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. 
• The inaugural event on the Arunachal Pradesh event schedule is Monduro 3.0.
• "Duro" represents the MTB Enduro format, while "Mon" refers to "land of the Monpas."
• In addition to riders from all around the nation, the event attracted mountain bikers from Nepal, Indonesia, and Britain.
• The Snow Leopard, popularly referred to as the "Ghost of the Mountains," is the theme of this edition's event.

Asian Endurance Series (AES)

• The Asian Endurance Series is an effort that aims to bring together all Asian racing enthusiasts. 

The 37th National Games, Goa 2023

• The National Games 2023, an Olympic-inspired multisport competition in India, took place in five Goan cities: Mapusa, Margao, Panjim, Ponda, and Vasco.
• From October 26 to November 9, athletes from 28 states, eight Union Territories, and the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) participated in the 37th National Games. 
• From the start to the very last days of the National Games, Maharashtra maintained its supremacy and held the top spot. Maharashtra has won 228 medals total, including 80 gold ones, thus far. 
• Services Sport Control Board maintained its second-place standing in the medal standings, having won 126 medals in total, including 66 gold. 
• Haryana, on the other hand, is in third place with 192 medals in all, 62 of which were gold. The event will be held at 28 locations around Goa till November 9th.
