Ariha Pangambam Wins Historic Gold at Asian Aerobic Gymnastics

Ariha Pangambam has become the first Indian ever to win gold in the Senior Individual Women's event at the Asian Aerobic Gymnastics Championships. The 22-year-old from Manipur topped the podium at the 2026 championships held in Tagaytay City, Philippines, from 4 to 7 August 2026, scoring 19.100 in the final.

Ariha Pangambam Becomes First Indian to Win Gold in Senior Individual Women's Aerobic Gymnastics

1. Ariha Pangambam scripted history by topping the podium in the senior women's individual event, finishing ahead of the entire continental field with a score of 19.100.
2. Her performance broke down into 8.650 for artistry, 7.600 for execution, and 2.850 for difficulty, sealing India's maiden gold medal in this event. Gymnastics Federation of India president Sudhir Mital congratulated her and her coach, calling it "a great achievement" for Indian gymnastics.
3. She has previously won gold at the National Games in 2023 and 2025 and has represented India at the FIG Aerobic
