Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu Win Hylo Open 2026 Titles

Indian badminton stars Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu created history at the Hylo Open 2026 in Saarbrücken, Germany. Both players dominated their opponents in straight games to secure the men's and women's singles titles, giving India a historic double triumph at the international tournament.

PV Sindhu Becomes First Indian Woman to Win Hylo Open

PV Sindhu clinched the women’s singles title by outplaying Denmark’s Line Kjaersfeldt with a commanding 21-12, 21-14 victory. Sindhu took charge from the opening serve, controlling the pace of the match and denying her opponent any chance of a comeback.

This win makes Sindhu the first Indian woman to claim the Hylo Open women's singles trophy. The victory marks her first BWF title since her Japan Open win in July, completing an impressive run where she reached back-to-back finals in two consecutive weeks. As a two-time Olympic medalist, Sindhu once again demonstrated her leadership on the global badminton court.

Lakshya Sen Secures His Second Hylo Open Crown

In the men's singles final, Lakshya Sen defeated defending champion Jonatan Christie of Indonesia with a clinical 21-17, 21-10 scoreline. Lakshya dictated the rallies and kept constant pressure on Christie to seal the championship in straight games.

This victory gives Lakshya his first BWF title of 2026 and makes him the first Indian badminton player to win two Hylo Open titles. Defeating a top international star and defending champion underlines his ability to deliver under intense pressure.
