However, if India loses its last two matches against Australia, Pakistan will again become the NO.1 ODI side in the world. The next two matches of the series will be played at Indore and Rajkot.
Before the start of September, All three of India, Australia and Pakistan were in contention for the top spot in the ODI rankings. However, Australia lost three of its five matches in their recent tour of South Africa. Now there is no chance that Australia can become No.1 ranked team before the 2023 ODI World Cup in India Pakistan had a forgettable Asia Cup 2023.They failed to qualify for the final.
India got valuable ranking points by winning their 8th Asia Cup title.
