The Indian archers finished second behind South Korea at the Archery World Cup 2025 Stage -2 held at Shanghai, China, with seven gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

South Korea, or the Republic of Korea, also won seven medals, but it topped the medal tally, winning five gold medals compared to India’s two. Thus, India finished second in the medal table after South Korea.

The Indian contingent won four medals and finished fourth in the overall medal table at the first stage of the 2025 Archery World Cup, which was held in Auburndale, Florida, in the United States of America from 8 to 13 April 2025.

The second stage of the Archery World Cup 2025 was held in Shanghai, China, from 6 to 11 May 2025.

The third stage of the Archery World Cup 2025 will be held in Antalya, Turkiye, from June 3 to 8, 2025.

Indian Performance in Shanghai 

India sent a 23-member contingent of men’s and women’s archers to compete in Stage 2 of the 2025 World Archery Cup in Shanghai. The compound archers won five medals for India, and two were won in the recurve events.

  • Madhura Dhamangaonkar in the women’s individual compound event.
  • Ojas Deotale, Abhishek Verma, and Rishabh Yadav in the men’s team compound event.

Silver Medal winners

  • Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Madhura Dhamangaonkar, and Chikitha Taniparthi  in the women’s team compound

Bronze Medal winners

  • Deepika Kumari in women’s individual recurve
  • Parth Salunkhe in men’s individual recurve
  • Madhura Dhamangaonkar and Abhishek Verma in the mixed team compound
  • Rishabh Yadav in men’s individual compound
