Indian-American policy expert Nisha Desai Biswal has been confirmed by the Senate (upper house of the United States Congress) as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the US Treasury Agency.  

Nisha Biswal currently holds the position of Senior Vice President for International Strategy and Global Initiatives at the US Chamber of Commerce and serves on the US-India Business Council and the US-Bangladesh Business Council.

  • Ms. Biswal will now serve as Deputy CEO of the United States International Development Finance Corporation which is an agency of the US government Treasury.

  • Ms. Biswal has more than 30 years of experience in US foreign policy and international development programs within the White House, the US Congress and in the private sector.
