India Bags 35 Medals at U23 & U17 Asian Wrestling Championships 2025

The young Indian wrestler’s contingent finished their campaign at the U23 and U17 Asian Wrestling Championships 2025 in Vung Tau, Vietnam, with a rich haul of 35 medals - 18 gold, 10 silver, and 7 bronze, along with three team titles.
The Continental Level Asian Wrestling Championship was organised by the Vietnam Wrestling Federation in Vung Tau from June 18 to 26, 2025.
India sent a 60-member men's and women’s wrestling team to Vietnam to compete in the U23 and U17 Championships.
The U17 and the U23 Championships were held separately at the same venue.
The U23 Championship was held from 18-21 June 2025, and the U17 Championship was held at the same venue from 23-26 June 2025.
Indian wins three Team Titles
The dominant Indian wrestlers won three team titles - both the men's and women’s U23 Championships, as well as the women’s U17 team title.
Women U23 Team title - Indian women won 10 medals - 4 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze.
Men’s U23 freestyle team title - Indian men won 7 medals —6 gold and 1 bronze.
Women's U17 title - They won 18 medals, including 8 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze.
