IB ACIO Result 2023 RELEASED for Tier - I; Download Merit List PDF

The Ministry of Home Affairs released the IB ACIO Result 2023 for the Tier 1 Exam on 28 March 2024 on its official website, mha.gov.in. Candidates who took the ACIO (Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II Executive) Exam can download the list of selected candidates using the direct link provided here. The result has been published in PDF format and includes the roll numbers of candidates who passed the Tier 1 Exam and are now preparing for the Tier 2 Exam. The Ministry of Home Affairs administered the IB ACIO 2023 Tier 1 Exam for 995 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) positions. Candidates who took the exam and were waiting for their results can now view their qualifying status here. Those who scored the minimum qualifying marks in the Tier 1 Exam are shortlisted to take the IB ACIO Tier 2 Exam.

IB ACIO Tier 1 Result 2023 Overview

According to the official notice, passing the Tier-I exam does not give the candidate the right to claim selection for the post. A candidate's final selection for the position would be based on their combined performance in Tiers I, II, and III/Interview, the submission of AF/SSQ forms (as and when requested), and the successful completion of character and antecedents verification, followed by a medical examination.

The IB ACIO Result can be accessed through the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), i.e. mha.gov.in. Candidates can download the result available in the PDF form  from the MHA's official website or by using the direct link provided below.

Steps to Download the IB ACIO Merit List 2023 PDF

Follow the steps to download the IB ACIO Result without any issues outlined below.

Step 1: Firstly, visit the official website of the MHA at mha.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the “Result of ACIO-II/Exe (Tier-I) exam - 2023 of IB” link given under the What’s New section on the homepage.

Step 3: A PDF file having the Result URL will appear on your screen, copy that link and paste in the address bar of your browser to go to the result.

Step 4: You will be redirected to the Intelligence Bureau’s result page.

Step 5: Click on the PDF download link to view the result.

Step 6: Download the Result PDF file from the website.

Step 7: Open the downloaded PDF and use the search function (CTRL+F) to locate your roll number. 

If your roll number is, it indicates that you have been selected for the Tier 2 Descriptive exam.

What after the MHA IB ACIO Tier 1 Result?

Candidates whose roll numbers appear on the Tier-I merit list are eligible to take the Tier-II exam for the position of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II / Executive (ACIO-II/Exe) in the IB.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified separately via email/SMS about how to download their Tier-II exam admit cards or hall tickets. The admit cards for ACIO Tier II exams will include information about the exam date, time, location, and any other relevant instructions.
