As the Election Commission of India has announced the date and schedule for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, there is growing speculation about the postponement of entrance and competitive exams such as CUET UG, NEET UG, and ICAI CA.
According to the official exam schedule of the National Testing Agency (NTA) the CUET (UG) 2024 will be conducted from 15 to 31 May 2024, with results announced within three weeks of the test.
The tentative schedule for CUET UG 2024 coincides with the Lok Sabha election dates. However, even after the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be held between April 19 and June 1, with results announced on June 4 the proposed schedule for the CUET (UG) 2024 is likely to remain the same.
Earlier, prior to the announcement of election dates, Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), stated that CUET UG exam dates would be changed based on the Lok Sabha election schedule. Following the announcement of the LS Election dates, Kumar announced that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG will be held between 15 and 31 May, as previously announced, with no changes due to the Lok Sabha election schedule. A final decision regarding the CUET UG 2024 date sheet will be taken by the authorities after the registration window closes.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon announce the CUET-UG date sheet 2024 after the registration process is completed on March 26th, based on the number of students registered and their geographical distribution. The city intimation slip is scheduled to be released on 30 April and the admit card will be released in the second week of May 2024 on the official website of NTA.
Note: Candidates willing to appear for the CUET-UG 2024 can do so by March 26 by visiting → cuetug.ntaonline.in.
NTA will administer CUET-UG 2024 in a hybrid examination format that includes both computer-based testing and pen-and-paper mode for various subjects. Subjects with high registration will use a pen-and-paper format with optical mark recognition (OMR), while others will remain computer-based.
This is an important time to assess your preparedness, which you can do by practicing multiple-choice questions. For CUET UG Arts students, Utkarsh Classes offers a specially designed AAKRAMAN MCQ Batch. You can buy this for Rs. 1,200 and it will be valid until the exam date.
