Eligibility Criteria for UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2023

(a) Nationality

To be eligible to apply for the UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment Exam, candidates must be a citizen of India. 

(b) Age Limit & Relaxation

The minimum and maximum age of a candidate for UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2023 is mentioned below:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Candidates belonging to the reserved categories, as notified by the government of Uttar Pradesh from time to time, are eligible for upper age relaxation.

(c) Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following educational standards to be eligible for the UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment Exam 2023:

• Passed 12^th grade from a recognized board.
• Cleared UPSSSC PET 2022 with a valid scorecard
• Hindi shorthand (Steno): 80 wpm
• Typing speed in Hindi: 25 wpm
• Must have passed CCC course conducted by DOEACC Society 

OR

An equivalent computer course recognized by the government as equivalent to that offered by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education is required.

Preferential Qualification

During the recruitment process, preference will be given to the following candidates:

• Should have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of 2 years

OR

• Should have obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadets Corps (NCC)

UPSSSC Stenographer Apply Online 2023

The UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2023 online application process starts on October 17, 2023, and ends on November 16, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2023 by using the direct link mentioned above or visiting the official website of UPSSSC. The steps for submitting the UPSSSC Stenographer Application Form are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSSSC using the link given above.

Step 2: Now, on the home page, click on the "Applicant's Dashboard Tab (Login through PET Registration Number)" link under the Applicants section.

Step 3: To login, you must first authenticate yourself using your personal information or an OTP received on your registered phone number.

Step 4: Following that, a pre-filled form using the information you entered during UPSSSC PET 2022 registration will be displayed.

Step 5: Pay the application fee after verifying your information and uploading a scanned copy of your photo and signature.

Step 6: After clicking the checkbox next to the declaration, submit the form.

Step 7: Download the finally submitted form and take a printout of the same for future reference.

Application Fees 

Only the processing fee will be charged to candidates applying for the UP Stenographer Exam 2023. If candidates clear the required cut-off (based on the marks scored in UPSSSC PET 2022) as decided by the commission, they will be required to pay the main examination fee. Category-wise details of the processing fee are as follows: 

Note: Before downloading the admit card for the main examination, the candidate must pay the examination fee separately if they are shortlisted for the main examination. The fee for the main examination will be decided by the commission or the government of Uttar Pradesh. 

UPSSSC Stenographer Selection Process 2023

The following three stages will be used to select candidates for the UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment:

• Shortlisting based on the performance in the UP PET-2022
• Written Test (Main Examination)
• Hindi Shorthand and Typing Test
• Document Verification

UPSSSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2023

(i) Written Exam

UPSSSC have not released the written exam pattern and syllabus for UPSSSC Stenographer Examination 2023. The official exam pattern and syllabus for the main examination will be released on the official website one or months before the main exam. However, we are providing an expected exam pattern based on the previous advertisements released for stenographer recruitment. These  provide an idea of the exam duration, subjects included in the exam, type and number of questions, marking scheme, and so on.

(ii) Hindi Shorthand & Typing Test

Candidates who pass the written exam will be shortlisted for the typing test. The Typing Test will be qualifying in nature. The following are the expected shorthand and typing test criteria:

• Hindi Shorthand test: 80 words per minute
• Hindi Typing test: 25 words per minute

UPSSSC Stenographer Admit Card 2023

The UPSSSC Stenographer Admit Cards will be made available by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission 7 to 10 days prior to the written examination. The candidates shortlisted for the main examination should download their UPSSSC Stenographer Admit Cards from the official website of UPSSSC. 

For candidates’ convenience, we are providing some steps to download the admit card:

• Go to the UPSSSC official website.
• On the homepage, select the "Notice Board" tab.
• Locate and click on the UPSSSC Stenographer Admit Card link.
• Next, enter your registration number and password in the login portal.
• Now, your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
• You can download your UPSSSC Stenographer Admit Card and take printout a copy of your

UPSSSC Stenographer Answer Key 2023

The UPSSSC Stenographer Answer Key will be released by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission a few weeks after conducting the written test. The UPSSSC Stenographer Answer Key is often made available on the official website in the form of a PDF file for the candidates who appeared in the main examination. If candidates find any discrepancies in the UPSSSC Stenographer provisional answer key, they may raise their objections and challenge the answer using the “Challenge Answer Key” tab provided on the official website.

The UPSSSC Stenographer Answer Key will be available on the commission's official website only. Follow the steps mentioned below to download the answer key without any difficulty:

• Visit the official website of UPSSSC.
• Click on the "Applicant’s Dashboard" link under the "Result" tab on the webpage.

UPSSSC Stenographer Result 2023

The UPSSSC Stenographer Result 2023 will be released soon after the written exam has been successfully conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission. The candidates will be selected based on their overall scores in the written exam, followed by a shorthand test and a typing test.
