Nationality

For recruitment, it is necessary that the candidate should be:-
(a) A citizen of India, or

(b) A Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st January 1962 intending to permanently settle in India, or
( c) A person of Indian origin who has come from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka or any East African country of Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar).

Note:- Provided that a candidate in category (b) or (c) above should be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the State Government. Provided further that a candidate of Category (B) will also be required to obtain a certificate of eligibility from the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Intelligence Branch, Uttar Pradesh.

Age Limit & Relaxation

Candidates must have reached 18 years of age by 01-07-2023 and should not exceed 28 years, indicating a birth date between 01-07-1995 and 01-07-2005. However, individuals from categories like Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and similar categories are eligible for age relaxation based on Uttar Pradesh government orders applicable at the time. Educational Qualification

1. Candidates must have completed the Intermediate examination from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as subjects. Additionally, they should possess an Electronics Accreditation in Computer and Electronics certified by the Government of India. This accreditation could be through obtaining an "O" level certification from the Department of Communication (DOEACC) or an equivalent examination recognized by the government, as determined by the guidelines mentioned in the Government Order dated 05 May 2022 (refer to Appendix-1).
2. Alternatively, candidates can fulfill the educational criteria by holding a qualification in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics from the Council of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh. A Diploma in Engineering or any equivalent qualification recognized by the government will also meet the eligibility requirements.

UP Police Computer Operator 2023 Selection Process

UP Police 2023 Computer Operator Recruitment will be done through an Online Written Examination, Typing Test and Document Verification. 

1. Online Examination: The online Examination will be conducted in an objective manner which contains 160 questions of 200 marks.
2. Typing Test: The typing Test will be qualifying in nature in which the candidate should maintain 25 words-per-minute typing speed in Hindi and 30 words-per-minute typing speed in English.
3. Document Verification:- Those candidates who successfully qualify Typing Test will be eligible for the document verification phase.
