To be considered for this role, the officer must have retired from the bank's service when they reached the age of 60. Applicants should not be older than 63 years of age on the date of the advertisement, i.e., on 01.11.2023.

Officers who left the bank voluntarily, resigned, were suspended, or departed for reasons other than reaching the age of 60 are not eligible for this engagement. There is no age relaxation offered to candidates from reserved categories.

Educational Qualification

As the applicants are retired officers of SBI, specific educational qualifications are not a mandatory requirement. Priority will be accorded to former officers with substantial work experience, a profound understanding of systems and procedures, and a high level of professional competence in the relevant field.

SBI RBO 2023 Selection Process

The Shortlisting of candidates will be determined based on a range of factors. Look at these below-mentioned points:-

• Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualification and experience requirements does not guarantee an interview opportunity. The Bank's Shortlisting Committee will establish the shortlisting criteria, and subsequently, the Bank will shortlist an appropriate number of candidates for interviews. The Bank's decision to call candidates for interviews is final, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
• Interview: The interview process will carry a maximum of 100 marks. The qualifying marks for the interview will be determined by the Bank, and no further correspondence will be entertained regarding this matter.
• Merit List: The final selection will be based on a merit list, which will be arranged in descending order of the scores obtained in the interview. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks. In cases where multiple candidates achieve the same cut-off marks, they will be ranked based on their age in descending order.

For Fresh Engagements:

 i. Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews conducted by the interview committee, and the committee's decision will be binding and final.

ii. Candidates appearing for the interview process will not be eligible for any travel allowance (TA) or daily allowance (DA).

iii. The merit list will be prepared according to the specific circle and category, Candidates will be assigned to the preferred Circle for which they applied. Inter-circle transfers will not be permitted upon selection.

Notification regarding the interview, or the call letter for the interview, will be sent to candidates via email or will be made available for download on the Bank's official website. No physical copies of the call letter will be dispatched. Therefore, candidates need to maintain a valid and active email address until the declaration of the interview results. This email address will be crucial for receiving the call letter, interview notifications, and other relevant information.
