SBI CBO Notification 2025 was issued by the State Bank of India on 9 May 2025. SBI has invited online applications for the SBI Circle Based Officer positions. SBI CBO Eligibility Criteria 2025 

SBI CBO Eligibility Criteria 2025 have been detailed through the SBI CBO Notification 2025. The eligibility criteria generally cover nationality, age limit, educational qualifications, and relevant work experience. Candidates are advised to verify that they meet the eligibility criteria for the post before submitting their online application. Nationality

Indian Citizens are eligible to apply for the SBI CBO Positions. 

Age Limit & Relaxation

For SBI CBO positions, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 30 years old as on 30.04.2025. This means their date of birth should fall between 01.05.1995 and 30.04.2004, both dates inclusive.

Some special categories are eligible for the relaxation age. Candidates claiming age relaxation must submit the required certificate(s) at the time of interview or joining, if shortlisted. Once the online application is submitted, no request for a change in category will be entertained. No correspondence, email, or phone communication regarding such changes will be considered.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for SBI CBO positions must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government, including an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates with professional qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, or Cost Accountancy are also eligible to apply.

Note:- 

1. Candidates employed with subsidiaries of Scheduled Commercial Banks are not eligible to apply.
2. Candidates currently working in SBI in clerical or supervisory roles, as well as those engaged on a contractual basis, are not eligible to apply.
3. Candidates who have previously resigned from officer positions in SBI or its Associate Banks, or those who were engaged on a contractual basis with SBI and subsequently resigned or exited, are also not eligible to apply.

Experience

As of 30.04.2025, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience (after acquiring the essential academic qualification) as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank included in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.

Language

Candidates applying for vacancies in a specific Circle must be proficient in reading, writing, and understanding any one of the specified local languages of that Circle. 

SBI CBO Application Process

Eligible candidates aspiring to join the State Bank of India as an Officer must complete the online registration process after thoroughly reading the SBI CBO Notification 2025. Eligible candidates can fill out their SBI CBO Application Form 2025 till 29 May 2025 by following the below provided steps:-

1. Visit the official SBI website and click on the “NEW REGISTRATION” tab.
2. Fill in your personal and educational details, including information about your category, disability status and any prior employment with SBI.
3. Carefully review the filled-in application form, accept the terms and conditions, and submit it. Your registration details will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number via SMS.
4. Upload the required documents—such as your photograph, signature, and handwritten declaration—in the prescribed format.
5. Make the SBI CBO application fee payment online through credit card, debit card, or net banking.
6. Click on “Submit” to complete the application process. Make sure to download and print a copy of the final submitted application for future reference.

SBI CBO 2025 Selection Process

SBI CBO Selection Process 2025 has been detailed thoroughly in the SBI CBO Notification 2025. It’s a four-step process and candidates need to clear all four stages to get selected as an SBI Circle Based Officer. Below, we are detailing all four stages for your reference:-

1. Online Examination:- The online test will comprise an Objective Test carrying 120 marks and a Descriptive Test carrying 50 marks.
2. Screening:- Candidates who clear the online examination will have their applications and documents evaluated by the Screening Committee. This Committee, constituted by the Bank, will assess whether the candidates meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, particularly with respect to the required work experience.
3. Interview:- The interview for SBI CBO will carry a total of 50 marks. To be considered for final selection, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in the interview, as determined by the Bank.
4. Local Language Proficiency Test:- A test to assess knowledge of the chosen local language will be conducted as part of the selection process for provisionally selected candidates (based on their performance in the online test, screening, and interview) before joining the Bank.

Candidates who fail to qualify for this language test will not be offered an appointment. However, those who can produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet or certificate showing that they studied the specified local language of the applied Circle as one of their subjects will be exempt from taking the language test.

SBI CBO Exam Pattern

SBI CBO Exam Pattern 2025 has been detailed in the SBI CBO Notification 2025. SBI CBO Online Test consists of two tests, one is an objective type and the other is a descriptive type. Here we are detailing the SBI CBO Exam Pattern 2025 for your reference:-

Objective Test

1. The Objective Test will have a total duration of 2 hours.
2. It consists of 4 sections, carrying a total of 120 marks.
3. Each section will have a separate time limit.
4. There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Test.
5. No separate sectional marks will be recorded for the Online Examination.

Descriptive Test

1. The Descriptive Test will be conducted immediately after the Objective Test.
2. Candidates must type their answers for the Descriptive Test using a computer.
3. The test will have a duration of 30 minutes.
4. It will assess English Language skills through two questions: Letter Writing and Essay Writing.
5. The Descriptive Test carries a total of 50 marks.
6. There will be no sectional qualifying marks.
7. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks on the aggregate, as determined by the Bank.

SBI CBO Result 2025 

SBI CBO Result 2025 will be declared once the exam is conducted successfully. Candidates can download their SBI CBO Result by following the below provides steps:-

1. Visit the official SBI website.
2. Scroll down on the homepage and click on the "Current Openings" section.
3. Find the notification titled "Recruitment of Circle Based Officers Advertisement No: CRPD/CBO/2025-26/03."
4. Click on the link that says “Download Online Test Result.”
5. A login page will appear. Enter your Registration Number/Roll Number, Date of Birth (in dd/mm/yyyy format), and the verification code shown on the screen.
6. Your SBI CBO Result 2025 will be displayed on the screen.
7. Download and save the result to view your marks and check your qualifying status.

SBI CBO 2025 Exam Cut-off 

The SBI CBO Cut-off Marks 2025 will be released by the State Bank of India after the examination is conducted. Candidates must qualify for both the Online Test and the Interview separately to be considered for final selection. The final merit list will include only those candidates who clear both stages. Marks obtained in the Objective and Descriptive Tests of the Online Exam will be combined with the marks secured in the Interview to prepare the final merit list.

The final selection will be based on the normalized scores, with a weightage of 75% given to the Online Test and 25% to the Interview. SBI CBO 2025 Salary

For the SBI Circle Based Officer (CBO) position, the starting basic pay is ₹48,480 in the pay scale of ₹48,480–2,000/7–₹62,480–2,340/2–₹67,160–2,680/7–₹85,920. Additionally, candidates with two or more years of experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank will receive 2 advance increments.

Along with the basic pay, selected candidates will be entitled to various benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Lease Rental, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund, Contributory Pension Scheme (NPS), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), medical facilities, and other allowances and perks as per the Bank’s rules in effect at the time.
