Scroll down to check the important dates, vacancy details, eligibility criteria, application process, exam pattern, syllabus, selection process and salary for RRB Station Master Recruitment 2026.
The RRB Station Master Recruitment 2026 is being conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) for direct recruitment to the post of Station Master across Indian Railways. Station Master is categorized as an operating cadre post under Pay Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC).
Under the revised guidelines issued for recruitment from the year 2026 onwards, the Competent Authority has done away with the multiple CBT stages previously used and replaced them with a single comprehensive Computer Based Test carrying 100 marks with a total testing duration of 120 minutes. Candidates who clear the written stage will be shortlisted for the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) at an 8:1 ratio based on Single Stage CBT merit. The final selection is determined by a combined merit formula where 70% weightage is accorded to the Single Stage CBT and 30% weightage is given to the CBAT (applicable only to candidates qualifying the CBAT). Shortlisted candidates will subsequently appear for Document Verification and an intensive Medical Examination adhering strictly to the A-2 medical fitness standard.
